XSEED for 2015

Been playing SC, but I will still buy the localized version. The amount of text in that is insane.

Senran Kagura 2 and Oneechanbara will be fun until they come with Shinovi Versus.

What else is on Xseed's unlocalized games list coming from Marvelous aside from IA? The only one I can think of is PoPoLoCrois Bokujo Monogatari

Picking up Senran Kagura 2 and Lord of Magna for sure. Might look into Trails but I'm always so confused as to how that series works. I'm assuming the one in the tweet is the second in a trilogy that probably won't see the third game get localized?

Just Trails SC for me. I already have Akiba's Trip and have no interest in the rest.

I really hope they have some more stuff planned. Ukiyo no Roushi/Shishi would be amazing.

Gosh looking at some of the PC Corpse Party sprites makes me glad we got the PSP version first. Since those are all summer releases, hopefully Blood Drive will be a fall title.

Lord of Manga
Akiba PC
SC PC
SK2
Corpse Party PC

All for me.

Mostly excited for SK2 because I couldn't import it without getting a JP 3DS. Heard it has the best, speediest gameplay too.

Well thinking it over I'll definitely get Onechanbara, Trails, and Corpse Party and wait on the others to see if they're fun or not.

All these games look interesting to me except Corse Party.
Can't wait to play them all if I can afford them.

*Sees Thread*

*Hopes for Corpse Party Blood Drive AKA GOTY to be officially announced.*

*Sees Corpse Party*

*Its the pc version of Corpse Party 1-1*

It's just an older version of it really and the PSP version is the second remake of the first title.

Dear god that's a lot of ecchi stuff. I remember when XSEED did pretty much only mainstream JRPGs. I guess it's not enough anymore.

The market has spoken, it seems. (Especially considering the type of JRPGs that are predominant today.)

Don't blame those who buy the ecchi stuff, blame those who didn't buy the non-ecchi stuff.

SHAME THEM.

There's not many traditional RPGs for them to localize that haven't already been taken by other publishers, really. They're doing Sen no Kiseki, so hopefully they can get that and Sen II out before Falcom releases the next one (wishful thinking).

I wanted to like Akiba so much, but man that game sucked.

I will definitely try Akiba at a budget price at some point when I have space on the system, but yeah, everything about that game suggested that it was more for the aesthetics and tone for the game than the actual gameplay.

Pretty crappy year when you have two delayed games and two ports as your highlights. But I guess niche gamers can't be picky.

This isn't our whole lineup. It's just what we've announced so far.

We've got plenty more in the works, believe me. ;)

Really disappointing. This was literally my most anticipated Marvelous release of 2015. Tom should just set the record straight regarding whether we're getting this eventually or not so I can justify importing it.

I would be thrilled if we could work on IA, and will be personally pulling for it. But that game seems like a licensing nightmare, so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you -- the chances of us localizing something that has THAT MANY COPYRIGHTS attached to it are honestly pretty slim. I'd feel totally safe importing, personally (and in fact have my preorder in for it already, along with PopoloCrois Bokujo! Both of which I'm sure I could get through our parent company, but I'm not about to NOT throw my money at these titles, since they're both among my most anticipated games of the year!). ;)

It seems like the Japanese game industry is on a real ecchi kick lately in general, so that's been almost unavoidable. That said, I think dismissing titles like Akiba's Trip and Onechanbara as "ecchi stuff" is doing them a tremendous disservice. Akiba's Trip is brilliant satire and a great sandbox beat-em-up with genuinely funny writing, and Onechanbara is basically B-movie zombie greatness with a whole lot of "girl power" behind it (seriously, 95% of the cast is female, and every single character is strong-willed and completely badass!).

Even Senran Kagura has a LOT more to it than the ecchi, though... admittedly, ecchi is more or less the main draw of that one. ;)

And Lord of Magna isn't really ecchi at all, save for one out-of-nowhere obligatory bath scene that feels like something out of an '80s or '90s anime series (which is pretty much the only reason it got a T rating instead of an E10+, since the rest of the game is very sweet and overall quite tame -- but the bath scene goes by fast, so if you're anti-ecchi, there's no need to fear!).

...But regardless, like I mentioned above, we have a lot more that's still unannounced, and if you're looking for non-ecchi-focused awesomeness, you're probably going to like a lot of our other upcoming games. ;)
