CG to the max. None of that was done on xbox hardware.
I believe Frankie said In Game with post-processing advantage
Don't care about Halo, but that was one bad ass opening, holy shit.
I wonder if they could have made that playable though....It feels like it would have been possible.
Crazy that the game is two months out and they've already showed us the opening lol
Rendered with in game assets as basis. Basically CG as far as this conversation is concerned but the majority of cinematics will be in engine.

Not all of it.

The air drop was awesome, the fight whilst running down a mountain looked kinda badass but felt far too over the top for me. Older Halo trailers manage to make the Chief look like a total badass without forcing him to do loads of acrobatics (I know the H4 prologue has him doing a backflip but that lasted all of about 5 seconds).
this is so far from the HALO bungie created, sad day for me
Looks really nice visually, but I almost saw them yawn at how easy they took out that enemy faction.
If you make them like Superman, there's no tension or excitement from overcoming incredible odds. You're just going through the numbers. Been there done that. The Order 1886 had the same problem for me; the heroes looked bored most of the time. When you first encountered werewolves, the main character barely broke a sweat. How can you be excited when your character is bored.
Hope it's actually reflected in the gameplay itself or there's gonna be a big disconnect between how free and easy it all is in the cinematics compared to how linear and handicaped you might be during actual gameplay.
I don't have to search anything to tell that, that was CG........"Dawg"
