I think so, and the article is on-point. Just be aware that:

- The career/season mode is pretty bare-bones
- The create-a-golfer is very bare-bones

If those are critical to your enjoyment, you might want to steer clear, but otherwise it's a fine golf game for that price.

You can also check out The Golf Club if you would prefer a more realistic, and therefore more difficult, take on the sport. I have both and prefer the superior visuals and arcadey fun of Rory.

I think I'm gonna get the Wild Run edition myself. I've been waiting on this going on sale. Can't really grumble at $20 which equates to £13.86 when you getting the base game and the expansion.

If you had any love for Test Drive Unlimited, you'll enjoy The Crew. Singleplayer story stuff is pretty bland but the world itself is huge and it's as relaxing as TDU to mess around in. Plus, way more types of vehicles to drive, and making yourself silly things like a Fiat 500 monster truck is great.
