PAL Charts - Week 38, 2016

I feel like we are just debating word definitions rather then the actual quality of legs. You say great, someone says amazing. You say strong, someone says exceptional.

Someone should come with a graphical legometer, with appropriate adjectives for x2, x3, x4, .. x10 etc. Then we'll all be on the same page. So we can say Uncharted legs are "reasonable", approaching "pretty good", while GTAV legs are way past "olympian".

For a game released months ago to still be charting and pulling a few thousand every week is undeniably good legs. Plenty of games have released after Uncharted and are nowhere to be seen on the charts. It will likely continue to chart for the rest of the year. Most pubs would love their games to have those kinds of legs. I don't even think there's even a debate to be had regarding the games legs, it's showing it every week in the UK charts /shrug

Call of Duty Black Ops III first week - 635,000
Call of Duty Black ops III lifetime > 2.5 million

THIS, is an example of what "impressive/strong" legs mean.

Over 4 times more than the first week, and is on the road for the x5, it's first week was also more than triple Uncharted 4, just saying.

A game doesn't need to be Splatoon for have strong legs.

Uncharted 4 so far is about double the numbers of first week sales, which is nothing of special. This holidays Uncharted will have a bundle which will help, and i will see people talking about "omg that's insane", and at that point i'll shut up cause at least will have a strong perform ( because of a bundle but still strong), but talking about something of "OMG!!!!!" for 3-4k? Guys come on. ( i don't talk about you)

Come on you hype up games every week that only sell a couple thousand copies.

Who cares about legs anyway never understood the hype behind a game selling 100 copies first week then selling 1000 LTD. Omg it increased it sales by a factor of 10 versus a game that sells 5000 first week and 10k LTD only doubling it's sales.

Obviously all those numbers are just hypothetical.

This is the correct answer.

Give me example then. :) I think you are counfusing me with "others" Nintendo fan, cause i'm not that kind of Nintendo fan. :)

If you don't care about legs then why you replied me?

Do you want to discuss about numbers in general? Ok, Uncharted has sold insane, one of the most impressive exclusive selling this generation. You happy now?

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
PES didn´t have that great of a first week and it was on sale on a couple of places.

I know it didn't have a great first week to begin with, but deals in some stores would explain a softer-than-expected second week drop.

Also, I know this isn't completely related, but I wanted to highlight the great legs Uncharted 4 is showing in UK.

I propose, for the sake of Ring's sanity, that we try a stab at other labels. I've taken the liberty of coming up with a few~

"Dem feet"
"Those quads, unff~"
"Uncharted's thighs are amazing~"
"Drake's working his extensor hallucis longus."

Do those pass your censorship board, Ring?

Perhaps "dem squid tentacles" might suit him. Or give him an aneurysm.

What I find fascinating about PES is that outside of its pedigree and actually being a great game, the series sells rather poorly. It's almost NBA Live like in that respect.

The calm before the storm.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 didn't have a bad launch in Spain, over 13,000 units on PlayStation 4, but sales dropped by over 80% in its second week. The game held better on PlayStation 3 with 50% drop in sales week-over-week.

For FIFA 17 I expect between 120,000 and 150,000 units on PlayStation 4, and less than 10,000 units on Xbox One.

Retro bonus:

FIFA 95 was the second game, but first to release after Gallup's increased coverage to 75% in mid-1994, which was when they started giving out numbers ands tracking hardware. Only released on Mega Drive, as of week 27, 1995 (Saturn release week);

EA's FIFA Soccer 95 looks set to break the 200,000 barrier, making it one of the bestselling video games of all time.

I'm interesting too see if FIFA in Spain is bigger than in Italy, FIFA 16 sold over 200k in Italy first week, who Know if Spain FIFA 17 Will do better. :p

Not actually that important
Had no idea NBA2k was a big deal in France...
and man, at this point PES is only relevant in Italy and what, Greece? Even in JPN it bombed like it had never bombed before, pitiful numbers... Too bad, game's great and has been blowing the socks off FIFA for the past 3 years in a row now...

A day before we get FH3 numbers, yea?

I'll throw out a prediction at 105k, making it one of MS's most successful titles released this generation.

I will be disappointed if FIFA 17 didn't sell over 1 million units.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions just need to be around 15% up to offset last-gen version decline. There are also those units from week 38, 2016 bundled with Xbox One S that are included to this week's total. So it is highly likely that FIFA 17 will be up over FIFA 16. A 10,000 units increase will be enough for Chart-Track PR note to claim that it sold 1 million units based on Chart-Track estimates of the total UK market.

Edit: Dragon Quest VII holds on to French top 5, that's good.

'FIFA 17' scores a record-breaking debut at No.1

EA bring down the curtain on Q3 with a record-breaking launch for ‘FIFA 17’. The latest addition to the football franchise is almost 18% up on the debut week of ‘FIFA 16’. It also edges past ‘FIFA 13’ to become the highest week one in the series ever. PS4 takes over 53% of week 1 share despite the presence of the Xbox One S (1TB & 500GB) editions, both of which include a copy of the game. Xbox One still accounts for a healthy share over 40%, while both Xbox 360 and PS3 combine for a 6% share.

Xbox One exclusive ‘Forza Horizon 3’ races comfortably into second place eclipsing the week 1 sales of last year’s ‘Forza Horizon 2’ by 12%. It also takes a podium spot for week 1 sales for Forza (both Motorsport & Horizon) titles placing as the 3rd best launch for the series overall.

I was sure FIFA 17 would deliver.

FIFA 17 - 1,108,000 / NEW

PS4 - 587,000 (+38.8%)
XBO - 443,000 (+31.1%)
