Halo: Reach |OT7| What are They to Say Now?

Yeah, definitely the best Nintendo Power swag.

Although one came with a Pokemon card once - a Pikachu card with a gold foil "E3" printed on it.

I ripped it out of the magazine before my little brother found it, hiding the evidence by carefully removing the card it was attached to. I then convinced all the other nerds at my middle school you could only get them at E3 and made some pretty awesome trades. Eventually traded a normal Dragonite card for a copy of the N64 game Rampage: World Tour. I was king of the world, wheeling and dealing those Pokemon cards until Sosa's henchmen finally caught up to me as I made my last stand holed up in the mansion with my M16.

Yeah, still drunk.

he's gotten a bunch of perfections that were just unreal a few minutes ago. mindblowing. now he's playing maniac who is a hell of a lot tougher than randoms and still dumping. that kid is crazy

1v1 takes a different knowledge of the game and maps to play correctly. I had a teammate in H3 who used to destroy me in 1v1's but 4v4's I would way better than him. Guy's got some sick skill.

That Smash CD. Wondeful stuff. I also remember getting a great demo disk with Rogue Squadron 3 (why would you put third person on foot missions in...oh, your company doesn't exist any more. Okay) on it. Nintendo and demos. Hard to believe.

Posters of the Animal Crossing cast. Still have 'em.

That Rogue Squadron 3 demo was awesome. I managed to get my hands on a Viewtiful Joe demo disk too and plenty of "cheat disks" and ones that let you hot swap to play games from other regions.

My mind was blown at the fact that Gamecube demo disks existed. And how fucking awful RS3 was (RS1 and 2 were the shit!).

I gave away a bunch here and earlier and on FUD. All out for now but I have a few to giveaway with the new FUDcast. Not tomorrow, but soon. =)
Same. Nothing ever happened to the little girl. =/

Was expecting him to replay the scene and let the t-rex ragdoll her around.

Oh she died a bunch other places lol. I just laughed when the Triceratops smashed her father like a bus, then I started laughing cause her dad died then I felt terrible for laughing and couldn't stop.

I remember I got a VHS tape in the mail from Nintendo and it had previews of N64 games coming out. That was where I fell in love with Jet Force Gemini. lol
I went to the library and read an issue of nintendo power before the GBA came out. I saw some screens of Metroid Fusion and I instantly fell in love. Still looking for that issue.

So since we're posting so much art today, I've got another piece I just finished up for my portfolio. Its not for Halo specifically, but I'd say its Halo-esque. I'm not going to deny I have a couple windows up of FUD up all the time, and the Halo Encyclopedia/Art of Halo 3 on my desk (of course there are other books as well, Darksiders artbook is also great ;) and Guildwars 2).

Havok suggested I post it, so here it is.

I think I need to make a picture of all of my artbooks sometime, my collection is getting pretty big.

That's pretty damm sweet.

Just want you to know how much I appreciate your galleries ;)

That's pretty damn amazing. Also, great gamees earlier ;)

Yea, I think I get carried for the most part; I'm much better at art than I am at halo, haha (at least I like to think so).

Played Firefight on Installation 04, and remembered one of the other reasons I stopped playing four player Firefight: lag. I could press a button, set the controller on my lap, and take a breath before something happened.

Hahaha, oh man, my epic losing streak (mixed in with a fair dose of rage-quitting) clearly TANKED my true-skill rating, cause I am being matched up against TERRIBLE players.

I've never carried a team to a 50-15 or 50-5 win before.

that guy is crazy. like...stupid good at sniping. wish i could be half that talented.

It was the way he was gettin the spawns that got me. That one snipe over the rock was crazy. The way he was aiming where the dude would have been jumping as well was mindblowing stuff.

It's probably just how badly I play but I generally wander towards power weapons and if I fight off whoever is there I just... kinda... wander. I'd love to know the spawns and weapon timers etc.

This is actually not that mindblowing. I'm saying that because I do it so it can't be mindblowing lol

Knowing the spawns and weapon timers is HUGE step to becoming good at this game. It's far from just shooting ability.

Well, if you've got time to spare, check out Zorabotic's youtube channel. He's the dude who has really been on the forefront of Reach spawn manipulation.

example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKYeDESTRR8

some of his videos might break your brain but there is most definitely a method to his madness.

d-d-definitely.

Well you too can be capable of doing something mind-blowing because it felt that way for me too when I saw it. He just does things so methodically and seemingly whimsical that it makes me question why I wouldn't ever instinctively back up, turn around, grab invis backwards while twitching my reticule before landing a killshot.

Oh, because even writing that out sounds ridiculous.

Well see, the mind blowing factor comes in 2 places:

a) Aiming at the correct location where their jump will take them
and
b) knowing they are even going to jump in the first place.

It seems like once you commit to aiming up there, you're gambling a bit with your aim. Tashi, you blow my mind. That last snipe on that Halo Community Tournament will forever make we say wow.

That is very cool. As a famous and accomplished artists myself, who has created many masterpieces of proper good art, you can take that as a pro endorsement.
