Do you applaud Robert Smith for continuing to rock his classic look?

Still going strong, baby. Love Robert!

Any other rockstars still keeping it going like they used to?

Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider
He looks likes....

Well, Randy Quaid to Dennis Quaid, if in this simile, Dennis Quad is Tim Burton.

For some reason I read Will Smith and I was going into this thread to scold you, HOWEVER! Now that the tables have turned I'll say I would have changed it if I was him. Good for him if he really likes it though.

Not really. If its who he is, then its who he is, but I'm more impressed by rockers who grow old gracefully and let go of their youth with dignity.

Guy looks awful. Living in the past FTL.

I think it's mostly the fact that he gained a lot of weight, even though he was never particularly fit before. If he lost weight and still maintained his image he wouldn't look so bad, tbh.

No, he looks weird. Love the Cure but the dude needs to grow up at some point. Wear some suits and start writing piano ballads

I want to see him when he is 80, dressed like that and doing songs from Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers. It will be the greatest reunion show of all time.

I wouldn't rag on Robert Smith. He's the only one that can save us from the terror of Mechastriesand.

I didn't applaud him then nor do i now.
Ian Curtis dumps all over his pretentious sadness/hurt/whatever.
They drove that post-punk era to the ground with such gimmicks.

I've never read anything so fucking ridiculous.

I love the Cure, always have. I must say that his appearance seems very dated and forced. Like a band on a reunion tour who wants to convince everyone that they are the same band they were decades earlier.

Style and looks normally evolve for everyone, rocker or not.

How's it a fake look if he's the one who popularized it?

Because its a facade to remain popular. Its his trademark look, but it was his trademark look 25 years ago. Wear a wig on stage or something if its that important to him, but it kind of looks pathetic if he is just picking up the paper and he looks like he is trying to be in his 20s when he is 52.

Or do what Alice Cooper does, manage the hair to make it look nice when not on stage. Don't pretend you don't have a couple million in the bank.

You youngsters call it some kind of act but when you see him rocking out in a Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Jersey and that hair then you'll realize that he's simply one-of-a-kind and doing his own thing.
