Considering that we are in the lows of late spring/early summer any hardware rise for XBone would be in the range of 10k or less. We will have to wait for Nov./Dec. to see which console will be chosen by the next wave of bros upgrading their CoD/AC/BF experience.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
There could still be an update on the matter later this week, but in the case there isn't:

3DS - >61 (64-68 depending on weekly sales)

Week 6-30 sales (2014) - < 470,000

Gamasutra.
Yeah I think GTA5 HD will do very well.
Last gen (thinking NPD here) there was a big expectation that GTA4 would move hardware. Then the month came and went and the hardware bump didn't happen. (Seems like hardware might even have gone down, on a month-over-month basis? Edit: Yep, Xbox 360 and PS3 dropped on a weekly average basis from March to April.)

This time, I'm inclined to think it might happen. There certainly seems to be a willing market, and with the right cooperation between Take Two and the hardware companies, the combination could do quite well.

But, we'll see.

A 61% PS4 split for UFC v 39% for Xbone is even more lop-sidded than Watchdogs was, isn't it?

That's crazy. I wonder why.

Isn't it less? I was under the impression Watch Dogs sold nearly double on PS4 compared to XB1 here in the UK, and practically outsold XB1, 360 and PS3 combined.

If I remember correctly, Killzone did better in Germany than UK. Was it only bundled in a few countries in Europe?

Bundled everywhere in Europe as far as I know. UK is pretty much the only (?) country that is counting bundles though.

The bros have chosen their next gen home.

When the prices of the XBO and PS4 were announced I so desperately wanted this to happen. I figured that the parents of the 12-14 year olds who plague MP shooters would get the cheaper console for their kids. This dream was quickly dashed when I entered my first game of Titanfall and was greeted with high pitched voices. The little fuckers are still here.

Fuck my life.

That doesn't answer why it's doing better in the UK vs RotW/US though.

Is it? Xbone ltd figured were at 969k in the latest NPD on how many ever Xbonx are sold so far(I think 2.8 figure was close to it, couldnt find the number in my failed searches). Do we have any ltd on Titanfall/Xbone in UK lately?

Best ones are those who don't know they use Kinect as mic and talk loudly during matches and yell "xbox this and xbox that", damn annoying.

Those kids grew up with Xbox. They were never going to switch to PS4.

It's pretty interesting. Can you add WiiU and Xbone to the list, with known numers as well please?
Xbone with Titanfall bundle, first price cut and kinectless sku should doing well and we know that it had outsold ps4 for at least a month (right?).

Xbox One 2013 (first 6 weeks) - 364,000

Wii U 2012 (5 weeks) - 80,000
Wii U 2013 - it should be at 113,200 / 193,200

Xbox One outsold PS4 thanks to the Titanfall just the weeks leading to inFAMOUS being released, and mainly becuase PS4 was suffering shortages, IIRC.

I remember reading in an article posted on GAF which said that NPD believed that about 65% of XBO owners in the US owned Titanfall. I have no idea what the thread was called though, it wasn't a very busy one and quickly died.

Sadly yes, and more of them will come over during Christmas. I'm going to be stuck with these kids for another 8 years. ;_;

Nope Watchdogs was a 65-35 split between the two versions at launch.

I wonder how Destiny is going to perform. It's marketed as a PS4 title, but Bungie has a strong following among Xbox owners. Who knows how that 's going to pan out.

Based on it's chart position only. The XBO version is still top5 in the UK, the X360 one is top20, last time the X360 version charted in Sweden was Week 19 for instance. (XBO version charted only on release week, considering XBO isn't released in Sweden, that's pretty good still)

Thaks! I think that Xbone could be reasonably closer to the PS4 in UK than every other country. WiiU isn't doing well, but maybe Mario Kart 8 helped a bit.

So for WiiU we have >80 weeks
and for Xbone 31 weeks? (day1 a week earlier that Ps4 iirc)

Halo has a strong following among Xbox owners, but I very much doubt that anyone cares who actually makes the games. I'm expecting a similar split in favour of the PS4 for Destiny.

Honestly, I'm expecting 2.5:1 or even 3:1 split between Destiny PS4 and XB1. I can't tell you how many people I talk to that think its PS4 only already. Sony is going to push HARD this holiday season with Destiny marketing, so I fully expect the difference in copies sold to be huge.

This is the first time I've seen a game sell out in one super market around here (I live in Finland). Not a single copy left on the shelf, and that game is Mario Kart 8 btw. I'll buy it soon as well, though I'm still hoping for a small sale somewhere (before the end of July of course).

what I dont get is, in my local Tesco (normal sized store) they have only 1 nintendo title... and that title is..... Luigis mansion 2. I like me some ghost hunting but seriously the game came out over a year ago, and theres modern titles thatd sell way better.

Not seeing any significant boost for the XboxOne because of the Kinect-less model.
Seems like the deals for Titanfall were a much bigger booster for the console.

After Watch_Dogs injected some life to the market for couple of weeks now when that effect is gone it's going to be slooow again until Destiny. I really don't understand why publishers release all their games during holiday season or Q1. Watch_Dogs showed how well you can do even during spring/summer when people don't have anything to play.

Why would it be anything like that. It'll probably be more or less the ratio of the consoles to each other.

The only reason I think UFC is so skewed is it's only current gen. Look at watchdogs NPD percentages. I expect something similar to that. 50 or so percent ps4. 30% xb2, and ps3/360 making up the rest

TF on XB1 still seeming to be receiving quite a bit of the help in the UK via bundles. Makes sense considering the value of the TF XB1 SKU compared to the kinectless. Also implies that XB1 is selling at a reasonable pace in the UK most likely

The UFC split surprises me but maybe it and WD are hinting at what will be par for the course this gen.

Fighter Within continuing to sell surprises me most. I know it's been heavily discounted but it had awful reviews. Guess people want to justify the kinect they got in their TF bundles?

Things seem to be going as expected. Good MK8 legs, UFC debuts on top, everything else is doing just ok.

I wonder if the digital percentage of purchases is higher in the UK because of this.

Are we still doing the Amazon comparison? Looks like the XB1 TF bundle (the discounted one) moved ahead of PS4 and WIU for June.

According to S.E.L.L./GfK Wii U sales rose by 112% compared to last year (France) from January 1. to May 31. (http://www.jeuxvideo.com/news/2014/00072993-wii-u-112-sur-les-ventes-de-jeux-en-2014-en-france.htm)

We know that it sold 35.685 units from Jan. 2013 - May 2013 (http://www.gameblog.fr/news/36870-ventes-consoles-en-france-les-vrais-chiffres-font-mal)

So that's 75.652 units for Jan. 2014 - May 2014 (This includes two days of Mario Kart 8)
Wow, that's great. 3D World and DK did help.

Wasn't it announced that MK8 lifted Wii U sales to 20k that week?

Software sales, not hardware.

I just came back from the IDEF and I got a lot of numbers.

Hardware + Software (without digital) sales for january-may 2014 (vs january-may 2013):

United Kingdom 604 million € (+67%)
Germany 448 million € (+3%)
France 446 million € (+16%)
Spain 215 million € (+9%)
Italy 186 million € (+7%)
Belgium 73 million € (+5%)
Netherlands 72 million € (+9%)

By units (software):

United Kingdom 8 640 000 (=)
Germany 6 920 000 (-24%)
France 5 950 000 (-15%)
Spain 3 210 000 (-6%)
Italy 2 880 000 (-12%)
Belgium 1 070 000 (-20%)
Netherlands 1 060 000 (-14%)

Hardware:

United Kingdom 890 000 (+60%)
Germany 620 000 (-1%)
France 690 000 (+12%)
Spain 390 000 (+1%)
Italy 320 000 (-8%)
Belgium 120 000 (=)
Netherlands 150 000 (+1%)

By the way, old news but I don't think it came to GAF: Watch Dogs did more than 300k in France (first week). Mario Kart 8 did more than 75k.

Huh, wasn't there talk about Germany being the biggest market in Europe?

Seems that's not really the case if I'm interpreting those numbers correctly.
