Hyrule Warriors |OT| Why are the enemies not doing anything?

Speaking of level 2 weapons I have no idea how I'll pull off the Zant one right now without a mass rupee investment, he just doesn't do enough damage and about 5 minutes in after the bombchus are dealt with you get besieged by tons of glowing red units of increased power, many of which being shield Moblins and they have the sneaky shame to throw a Cucco in with the incoming enemies so it's hard to not to have the feathered fiends join the party as well. On top of all this is that Zant's moves leave him locked in place which doesn't fare well against the horde of shield moblins who just walk through most attacks.
Basically my adventure map has mostly reached the stage of needing nothing but A ranks to progress which is a bummer.

Yeah, that map was a pain to complete with A rank. You need to speed-run things like crazy, and be extremely wary of the cuccos. NEVER use C5: that move is too unsafe. C3 ou C4 are fine though. C6 is a little unsafe, so avoid it in this mission. My Zant was level 40.

The reward is worth it though.

I'm guessing C5 is the wallmaster combo because as funny as the move is it's like the worst possible move in many situations and I want to kick myself whenever I end up bringing it out in this map especially.
It seems that operation training dojo is go when I feel like giving it a shot again, most of my characters are hovering around late twenties mid thirties right now in regards to levels.

Progressing in Adventure Mode, but I appear to be woefully underlevelled with all characters. Yikes. Some of the ones I've had to do are so hard :/

Does anyone know what time this game will be on the eshop for NA? I'm going back to school this weekend and want to play this as much as possible before then.

We can all agree that Manhandla is the most annoying bugger of all the roaming bosses right? I'm pretty sure I lost out on an A rank because he decided to alternate between the flailing tantrum and poison circle attacks at least 8 times when I needed to get the last few hits in, eventually I just had to chip away at his super armoured defence eating damage because FUCK MANHANDLA. Even pulling off the boomerang hits isn't entirely reliable, now Gohma at least is nice enough to eye laser more than enough to be easily arrowed often. Granted Gohma is the fastest boss to be chased by in "eliminate X number of enemy missions" so he isn't completely free of annoyance while Manhandla is the slowest, but if that blasted plant catches up you better believe it'll spew a potent projectile barrage into your back.

The difficulty jumps around a bit, I think the best general route to follow early on is up towards the Ruto unlock and then across to Agitha. Ghirahim isn't too far from the starting point so I also spread out into that direction quite early on and then you hit the Fi mission roadblock.

Progressing through Legend Mode. I have acquired (weapon spoiler)
The Master Sword
. Wow that thing is powerful. Like crazy strong compared to any other weapon I have.

It's a fun game. I might be becoming a Mousu fan through this. Just too bad ancient China doesn't really interest me much. The Zelda theme here really helps.

Also, in case you don't know, you can use the Gamepad touchscreen to pick items, it has a radial menu like Skyward Sword did when you touch it. Very handy in battle as the items are always in the same spots.

So I unlocked Ruto and tried the mission where you have to fight at the end vs agitha, dark agitha and a stalfos (fuck that fight seriously). Was level 15 and I though she sucked major balls. Didnt know how to use his special water move, etc... (had her with the usual skills in the tree already unlocked (dins fire, fierce deity mask, all her moves...).
So I went out leveled her with rupees up to level 30 and gave her another chance.
WOW, this woman destroys high commanders and bosses with her water moves without having to get near them. The last combo (Y6) destroys commanders shield and bosses weak points in 1 turn.
Then the water special (the special bar that makes tidal waves) is probably the best killing group of mobs weapon in the game. The last wave oblivierates everything in front of you and its wide enough to clean rooms in one pass.
Her musou attack is pretty avarage though.

Ah yes, just fought against Zant. Hahahaha fuck you motherfucker, Ruto doesnt need for you to show your random weakpoints to destroy you. Eat tidal waves motherfucker.

I think mine was mid-low 20s, but I had a 4 star harp. having 1 fierce deity badge probably helps a lot because her musou attack is beasting

Mmm, mine was 26 level IIRC and have put most of the skills needed (up to fierce deity in the below part of the skill tree).
Will try probably at 40 with her so I dont need to repeat it endlessly.

Also, you can quickly run if you press dodge and hold it, dunno if you guys knew about it.

Mindfuckingblow This resolves Midna's movement problems.
How can the character riding a wolf be the slowest, it just blows my mind.

Played through the first 4 stages and as a DW/Zelda fan I'm in love. The depth from Musou games comes from your decision making, being presented with scenarios and deciding who to save first or maybe there's enough time to take over this nearby keep first before going to the other side of the map to help Sheik who's pinned down. I think the execution is really great considering this is the first entry and that the recent mainline Dynasty games have been shallow in that regard. The events themselves are varied, taking advantage of the rich TLoZ universe; The deku tree is burning, escorting Gorons equipped with bombchus to clear the way, visiting the great Fairy for assistance. The small ranking officers are also much better because of the variety in enemy patterns.

It's probably the most polished Warriors title, there's always some detail they get wrong but not here, I'm satisfied all around. The foundation is perfect and I hope we get a fleshed out sequel with more stages/characters from the other Zeldas.

Wow, agitha is possibly the worst most worthless character in the whole game. Her attacks fucking SUCK!!! All of them. Got her at level 30 something and nearly all the offensive skill tree (apart for the expensive squares) unlocked.

They do like zero damage, she is slow as hell, her dodge is pathetic (you get hit everytime). She stops to do stupid celebration dancings for each and everyone of her attacks. At least Lana when she does this is fast as hell to recover. Her musou attack is avarage. She also does shit with her attacks when you try to take away the weak points shield of a boss or any commander.

Maybe I dont know how to control her (I read here about the dodge cancel giant beettle move, the problem is the attack is a piece of shit and does nothing). In fact if someone knows how to use her well some tips will be usefull.

Also...
Just found out you don't need to use a compass everytime if you know what to do, feel dumb now.
Also, you can quickly run if you press dodge and hold it, dunno if you guys knew about it.

This is a mistake or im missing something because try as I might I cant get it to work. And its a pity, becuase I would have loved to use it with Midna.

No that's right, it was a mechanic in Pirate Warriors as well. It just instantly gets you into the dash you'd go in after a bit of movement anyway. It seems kind of awkward to do with Midna though for some reason.

Game crashed on me =/ haven't had that happened on the Wii U since launch pre-update 2nd update =S
Koei sure doesn't know how to program for other system that's not in the Playstation family XD

the wait to the 26th is painful. XD I really want to play this.

WHY exactly did everywhere on earth get this a week before NA? I think Afghanistan even got it a week ago. The hell is going on.

Seriously, why? Things don't happen without reasons. What's the reason for torturing NA fans?

What is the "Reward Board" when choosing Adventure? I feel this has never been explained in the game.
There are a several spots on the map but only one can be played currently. The one map playable lets you choose your ally before fighting against all the other characters. It's a quite decent map that yields 40k rupees for 12min of gameplay. Probably the quickest to rack up rupees to level low-level chars?
Been playing that map with my lv66 Link and he's wrecking shit.

Is that one of the maps you unlock for collecting skulltullas during legend mode?

As a Musou fan, after playing a couple of hours, I think this is the best debut for a new series they've ever done. Far far far better than the first Gundam and One Piece Musou games.

Link's final weapon is so, so awesome in so many ways. I have played several thematic Musou games but none had this kind of love for the series. So many little details poured here and there for the Zelda hardcore fan.

Lana's last is mind blowing too. The concept, the animations, the dance and the singing. Each combo is gif material.

Not going to lie, playing as
Ganondorf
and making filthy peasant minions fall by the thousands never gets old. Dat C6.

Link + Master Sword + Charged-B = Know your place, peasants.

Boring to play, but hella effective. Ganondorf looks like wielding a pacifier in comparison.

But unlike the spin attack Ganondorf's C6 has that satisfying get off my lawn effect.

Hm, as for Ganondorf, I usually see myself spam the first three attacks (not in the terminology - so probably C3?) followed by a dogde - rinse and repeat.

Judging by lots of video's I see the best way to use Ganondorf is to use C6 for bases(really wrecks them) or crowd control and for bosses his Energy ball > Warlock Punch does the most to the Weak Point gauge, otherwise you use the first few attacks for enemy officers before dodging and repeating the 3 attacks since they will start blocking you. You can really steamroll anyone once you go Spirit Focus and become completely invincible though. And play your cards right you can probably make Magic refilling power ups appear or level up to maximize that gauge.

Once again I had that headstart with the imported game, but now I've restarted again and I'm starting to see people talking about things I don't know (psoilers!).

That feeling I will be stuck with this game for months! Love it. :)

Yep, ganondorf's C6 is one of the best attacks of thw game to wipe groups out. And if you find in your way an officer in the crowd and that attack hits them too, it takes away a huge part of their lifebar and sends them away fliying

So has someone found agitha useful? I really need some tips for her.

Dodge is the B button right? I tried yesterday with agitha and she started to run waiting the same time as when I use the joystick and wait for her to do it.
Its only the B button maybe without moving? Press B before you are moving? Start to move before you press B?
The only thing I know is that Fi is the only character that using continued dodging is faster than running.

I love Twilight Ganondorf!
Put in my costume code yesterday and while luxurious hair Dorf is alright Twilight Dorf is forever where it's at.
Also got this Ocarina of Time code to put in at some point for Link and Zelda but I can't say either of the costumes does much for me, I'd much rather have had Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess.

Took me a minute or two to grasp but it's actually as simple as continuing to hold B and a direction after the dodge animation which should put you into the dash.

OoT Dorf however looks really bad IMO. It will either be TP Dorf or HW SSJ4 Dorf for me.

I'm not sure I can bring myself to even put on the OoT costume, it looks like Ganondorf cosplaying himself, badly.
Plus they neglected the mullet he took 7 years to grow.

Oh I've seen a couple vids with it on. It dun look too good. The other 2 are awesome. Really should have made a better model off of OoT 3D's Adult Timeline King Dorf. With the long hair and regal cape and everything.

Finally getting the hang of Lana's fighting style.

Especially her magic attack is amazing, thrusting enemies into the air. Haven't tried anyone else besides her, Link, Impa and Sheik.

An accurate representation of this would have been nice.

As it is, the DLC costumes' uneven levels of detail are making me use them a lot less than I would have thought. Perhaps they'll be cleaned up a little for the sequel.

Amazon shipped my game, that would be cool to get it a day early, but not holding my breath. Still don't have my costumes code, how does Amazon do those, email?

Because it's based on past timeline Ganondorf. If it were post-time skip, he'd also need a different cape.

Aye. Compare this to.

And why are the textures so low-res? :<

TP looks exactly like a rippoff of his original model. Without upping the textures in resolution and all.
OoT looks like a ripoff of the OoT3DS model with upped up textures, thats why it looks so angular.

They look better because the game is rendering them at 720p now, buthey are pretty shitty nontheless.

One question for all Lana's final weapon users out there. Is there any rule to the alternate combo finishers or these are just random? I'm talking about
summoning two Landmolas, three Dodongos or riding Argorok
.

It's not just a model rip. Their faces have also been changed too - much more obvious when you compare OoT Ganondorf with his 3ds model which had a horrible face.

Yep, and the dashing fast with b seems to work. Dont know why i couldnt make it work yesterday with agitha but Ruto works perfectly.

Yeah that is what is strange, their faces are the only things changed. Maybe they needed to do it to use their facial animations program?
Then why not just work the model from 0. Come on its not that hard to do a good 3D working model in ourdays if you use the rigging system of an already done character.

Huh?

I'm definitely gonna play this when I get a Wii U, but can someone explain to me why the previews I've seen of Ganondorf's gameplay show him fighting Bulblins? I would hope that as Ganondorf you actually get to fight the heroes rather than simply fighting the same enemies you do as Link or Sheik or whoever, just as Ganondorf.
