Oh gawd, I think I'm going to get obsessed with Wario Ware all over again!

Those GBA mockups don't look to bad at all!

Just clicked to me that I'll finally have a portable Zelda I as I've missed the GBA Classic collection. Here's hoping for Zelda II as well.

The first Wario Ware was an incredible experience... Fresh, new, fun and funny all rolled into a crazy mix of awesome. Great memories.

Twisted is brilliant too.

I felt the series kinda lost it beyond the GBA though.

Yes. I love Zelda II way more than the first.

Zelda II was an NES Classic, no? I'd say it has a good chance.

No, you gotta get them by getting a 100 point score on all the levels including the first unlocked ones.

but there is a code that allows you to play mini-games and basically get free items in storage.

what are the chances NES games can be played on the bottom screen to eliminate borders?

Pretty good I'd say. The DS let you load GBA games on the bottom screen after all.

Do VC games like Zelda DX let you play on the bottom screen?

Man, that sucks. I tried for hours just to get 100% on one level.
Someone should upload those gba levels to youtube!

Ooh, I've been meaning to hunt down a copy of Metroid Fusion, now I'm glad I didn't. :)

Great gesture on Nintendo's part, I wasn't expecting anything at all. Sure, I still could have saved ninety dollars, but at least I get some free games. Better than nothing.

I hope the other five GBA games are:

- Minish Cap (lost my copy D: )
- Mario & Luigi
- Zero Mission
- Advanced Wars
- Fire Emblem

Yeh I totally agree here. Wario Ware was incredible, Twisted was amazing, and then... Touched was more of the same, but somehow didn't grab me like the first two did. I haven't tried the newer ones because of this, actually.

No. The bottom screen is used for savestates.

These games use the top screen cause there's actually a 3D effect you can utilize with the Game Boy border when you choose to play the game in it's original resolution.

Yep! When they release Zelda II that'll make 6 Zelda games playable on the 3DS alone.

Edit- 8 because of Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass. Greatest handheld ever! <3

Thank you, more like this please. I want to set my expectations as low as possible within reason.

No clue when we'll actually find out the remaining five right?

I doubt we will see "minish cap" since that was developed by capcom.

The Capcom thing doesn't hurt its chances. If it gets held back, it'll be because Nintendo is looking for games to sell to early adopters down the line.

Wow, is it sad that I'm actually happy about the price drop? Not only do early adopters get 20 free VC games, but maybe this will boost sales and give confidence to 3rd parties to make some decent fucking games for the 3DS.

Besides, the 10 games they announced we will be getting already makes me happy, but another 10 games makes it that much better (as long as they don't suck that is).

Either in August or when we boot up the shop channel to download the games.

the fact Amazon has the price drop listed as a preorder has me somewhat concerned it's actually going to be a different SKU so stores can refuse to do post-order price guarantees (then again wtf are they going to do with all the old stock if so?)

I have to wait a week anyways since can't afford it at $250 until I get paid again next Friday so have some time to ponder it
That is an interesting notion. What's curiouser is that Nintendo is announcing the price drop two weeks in advance. Why? MS and Sony announce it a day or two before hand (though it may leak out) so why give so much time for their sales to plummet completely in countries that don't offer the 30 day price match guarantee?

lol, Urban Yeti, now that one sounds so pants-on-head stupid that I HAVE to look it up.

But Hamtaro: Ham-Ham Heartbreak is a great game.

My sister liked it (her favorite games: Okami, Soul Caliber 2, Fire Emblem, FFTA, Rhythm Heaven, Mario Galaxy) so it couldn't have been too bad. She was older teens when she played it.

There is a Hamtaro game made by Alpha Dream which was released in Europe, but not North America.

I say we'll get that.

Holy crap, the Alpha Dream of the Mario & Luigi series? Now it makes sense.

Come on Drill Dozer and Superstar Saga.

I would love Drill Dozer as a VC release. Unfortunately, it would feel lacking, what with the lack of rumble. It's not worth keeping it off the VC for that, of course.

My (realistic) hopes for GBA and NES VC:

Drill Dozer
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
Advance Wars 1 + 2 (localized version of the JP-only compilation :v)
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3

Kirby's Adventure
Metroid
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
Super Mario Bros. 2
Ice Hockey

I'd say Punch-Out!! and StarTropics, but I'm hoping for them as 3D Classics (along with Dragon Warrior).

I'm pretty stoked for this, especially since I picked my 3DS up with Street Fighter for 215 on craigslist, which is close to the final cost post price drop anyway :p

But really that's a pretty nice list of titles so far, can't wait to see the rest.

not even that. look at the amount of remakes. the ds was nowhere near as bad as the gba. it had a far superior library.

DS didn't have a localized Medabots game, so it wasn't superior.

But the 2 non-fighting, and non-SRPG Medabots games on GBA are remakes.
