But even combined, it's unlikely. WD is a massive success and is only at 600k but that includes 360, PC and PS3.

Heh. That's only part of the answer. It goes back to the SNES days basically. The GB was also quite a success. That's pretty much when VG became really popular in France. Before that, there wasn't much enthusiasm, and Ataris/Amigas etc weren't very common anyway (and quite expensive).
People basically said "a nintendo" to mean "a console". Until the PS1 hit, that is.

No, it's different. TF is thrown in for free, so why the heck wouldn't you get it even if you weren't interested. With PS4 bundles, it's not free, you have to pay extra. Therefore you have to make the choice of which bundle you want or if you just want the standalone consoles.

Nope Fifa 14 sold more than 200.000 on Ps4, so its Fifa. There are plenty more games over 100.000 on PS4. Killzone, Ghosts, AC: BF, BF4, Watch_ Dogs

I would assume we'd get some articles from gamasutra or eurogamer confirming if PS4 reached 1M like for most other consoles up to this point

It does appear that PS4 sales since April 6th [since the last install base update] have been moving towards more of a ROTW split versus US so I would assume Europe and Australia is accounting for a lot of that albeit the official PS4 PR states it's available in over 100 regions

Some stuff I thought was interesting:

- Vita software, ouch. But the top selling 3rd party title is higher than on Wii U, and the 2 year old Black Ops Spinoff has better legs than Ghosts on Wii U.
- Watch Dogs, TRE and MGS:GZ PS4 outselling their XB1 counterparts nearly 3:1.
- PS3 still doing ok, 360 is worse off.
- Mario Party and Yoshi's New Island outselling Titanfall, Infamous and MK8? what EDIT: didn't notice MK8 limited edition
- Lightning Returns higher than FFX HD on PS3? shame on you france

Don't forget to add the limited edition numbers for Mario Kart 8. And remember, this is only the week 1 for Mario Kart 8 (and Watch Dogs).

About Lightning Returns vs FFXHD, the limited edition could be higher for FFX than LRFFXIII, don't know. And PS3+360 vs PS3+Vita, FFXHD could be higher too.

Btw, these numbers don't count HW bundles. And I'm pretty sure it's the same for the Gamesmarkt numbers. Chart-Track and japaneses institutes are the only ones who published numbers with bundles counted.

Some differences between France and Germany:

• Infamous PS4 is at 100k+ in Germany (end of July, though, but I doubt it sold that much in June/July in France). And about 1/4 of EU sales, the franchise is pretty strong in germany it seems
• Watch_Dogs is above 200k in France, in Germany still sub 200k (less than 1/10 of EU) with two more month, but the PS4 is above 100k since end of May, the other versions must have done pretty bad

Holy hell. Yeah, Xbox One's outlook is mindblowingly bad for Europe mainland, probably even worse than Wii U. Counting Japan, I can perfectly believe WW sales for Wii U and Xbox One are tied. Maybe Wii U could even be ahead, but by a little amount I suppose.

Unfortunately for MS, even their huge investment into the NFL is not going to pay out in Europe. And doing a similar thing for every major football league in Europe will be way to pricey...

Ignoring UK, is Germany the biggest country for videogames in Europe?

Or is it another one?

Just wondering how significant Germany is, and if the failure of the Xbone there is significant.
