If this doesn't show Germany is PC crazy, I don't know what will...

Thanks, I checked Assassin's Creed II number again and that 200,000 figure was just for the first week.

November 2010 Individual Format Top Ten (25/10 - 21/11) (90%)

09 [360] Assassin's Creed II - 100,000 / NEW
** [PS3] Assassin's Creed II - 80,000 / NEW

Total - 180,000 (90%) / 200,000 (100%)

We also have the sales of the first title.

Assassin's Creed - 161,000 (90%) / 179,000 (100%)
So everything fits perfectly, thanks a lot!

Well it definitely shows that germany is PlayStation crazy.

Indeed, crazy numbers.

PC, however, is still strong in Germany, but might be misrepresented. Just anecdotal evidence, but I don't know anybody who still buys retail games for PC. Most of the stuff is digital by now as it has to be registered with Steam anyway. So, PC sales in Germany may be vastly higher.

@ Belgoray: Thanks for the figures.

http://www.mcvuk.com/index.php/news...e-biggest-selling-uk-game-of-all-time/0141518

GTA V launched last year and is currently the second most successful video game of all time - a feat it managed in less than a year. However, despite selling almost 4m copies, it has not managed to topple the UK’s current record holder: 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops.

MCV understands that GfK Chart-Track will combine the game’s PS4 and Xbox One sales with the PS3 and Xbox 360 SKUs, which means that the title will almost certainly overtake Black Ops to take the crown as the UK’s best-selling title - if not this week, then in the weeks building-up to Christmas.

This was probably lost at the end of last page.

GTAV is going to shatter all records with the current gen release.

France, first week, without digital and bundles.

Quote for additional information.

Interesting. Most of those sales are around half of what we've seen in UK, but Destiny is quite lower than that...and, at the same time, Unity is quite higher than that, not that far from the game's debut in UK

Those are some rough numbers for Rogue, then again the game was probably (relatively) cheap to make. I guess they'll manage to squeeze some profit out of it.

I'm sure the locale helped. Ubi games seem to do better there too.

Interesting French numbers.

Destiny really didn't seem to hit with mainland europe as well as with UK/US which follows what Ubisoft and Acitivison have said about it

Again, first week only.

Assassin's Creed IV: ~ 120 000 (155k with PS4/XBO/PC first week)
Assassin’s Creed Unity: ~ 134 000 (162k with Rogue)
Watch Dogs PS4/XBO/PC only: ~ 184 000

Huh WD's FW sales were roughly 39% on last gen systems in France versus 25% in the US for the first 5 days of sales. Seems there's a much larger chunk of active console owners on last gen in France if I had to guess. I am assuming the PC figure is retail? Wonder if that messes the comparison up much.

Yup! On the same day as the GTA/Dragon Age madness. Fantastic planning, especially since both GTA and WWE have Take Two as their parent company.

Wow, well I'm sure it bombed. Had no marketing presence whatsoever from what I can remember. I did see quite a few GTA5 PS4 ads, pretty sure I also saw a couple for DA, but not a single one for WWE.

Twitch streams were rampant with WWE15 during the past week, with 800+ viewers on each, not sure that would improve sales.

Have to say, nearly a week after release, I find it a bit strange that rockstar hasn't released any PR regarding sales. I was expecting at least 1 million sold day one or something.

So maybe it sold within expectations for the series?

DA did the best it could in face of some pretty tough competition. MCC nearly out of the top ten? Wow..thought it'd stick around a little longer.

Splits will be very interesting for GTA5.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is now the best-selling game of all time in the UK.

Rockstar's open world was already close to the previous record holder, 2010's Call of Duty: Black Ops, which it finally overtook this week thanks to the arrival of its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions.

GTA5 already held the record for the highest-grossing UK game in a week (£94m upon its original launch last year) and of all time.

Unsurprisingly, it's also the UK's new all-format chart number one.

Far Cry 4 also performed well: it outsold any previous Far Cry game during its launch week, although was the first to be given an earlier launch on a Tuesday, rather than the traditional Friday.

Dragon Age: Inquisition entered the chart in fifth place, below Far Cry 4, COD: Advanced Warfare and FIFA 15.

Sales of BioWare's role-player were on par with 2011's Dragon Age 2, but it's worth remembering that UK numbers company Chart-Track doesn't count digital sales, of which PC copies through Origin will make up a decent amount.

But other titles fared less well - Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for Wii U and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for 3DS failed to appear in the top 40 at all.

Ubisoft's Shape Up, an Xbox One exclusive that requires Kinect, also failed to chart.

Assassin's Creed: Unity was sixth this week, followed by WWE 2K15 in seventh, Lego Batman 3 in eighth, Minecraft: PlayStation Edition in ninth and Halo: The Master Chief Collection in 10th.

I wonder what numbers both Unity and MCC did this week. It seems they dropped indeed, but there are also many new releases in chart.

I wonder how the GTA V PS4 bundle sold in the UK. Local Media Markt(Germany) sold out every bundle they had on the first day.

Three to ten in a week for MCC pretty much suggests a collapse in sales.

Normally such a drop might not be anything to worry about, but with this being Halo, you'd expect it to be able to hold strong in the face of competition.

I dunno, PS4 UK release dates confuse me now I get everything on the US PSN store. Always annoys me when it's late over here, especially with a game made in the bloody UK.
