Water is not wet!
In the eyes of his diehard supporters this only makes him more appealing. They dont care about anti-US sentiment in the world for they want anti-world sentiment in the US.

Republicans have been beating that drum for a while. They hate the UN and they hate international agreements like the Paris Accord.

Sounds like Trump's plan to have the US taken seriously again is working.
"They hate us because of our freedom"

They were trying to grab your prize. They work for the mercenary. The masked man.
And these fuckers thought Obama made America look bad to the world.

on the internet (outside gaf) it seems like 50% approval at least. in comment sections on news sites it seems more like 80% approval

His supporters want us to be isolationists anyway, so you'll probably just see them respond with something trite, parroted, & poorly thought out like "They hate us 'cuz they ain't U.S." or something as their shortsightedness & fear of the world at large crumbles our economy.

Yeah. Beacuse who wouldn't like to live in a country where you can get shot just for the color of your skin, arrested for bullshit charges, having no welfare net whatsoever, no health care because fuck you you're just a moocher, no labor laws and shitty working conditions where your employer can just kick you to the curb because fuck you, again.
Who wouldn't love to live in an oligarchy of a country, where religious nuts rule what your kids will learn at school, where history is whitewashed want and those same bastards usually make laws that fit their fucked up world view. Where minorities are being striped of their little share of humanity, their human rights violated, where women are more akin to furniture than to a person, where being gay is akin to being the devil and being trans is an aberration to GOD!!. Where corporations run rampant evading all kind of regulations meanwhile YOU have to pay for theirs.

Surely, living in the US sounds like a dream.

How is it that the whole world saw this coming but not Americans? It never ceases to frustrate me. Even the people who voted for Brexit thought Trump was a bad idea.

Does the Republican party care about this at all? Or are they actually planning to go isolationist and separate the USA from the rest of the globe?

I don't think other nations would pass on a combined effort against North Korea. They have to be dealt with and eventually "ignore NK, pray nothing happens and pass it onto the next generation of leadership" will backfire and everyone will wish we did something about them sooner.
