Love the fact he was imprisoned and tortured by North Koreans for 14 months(hence the unshaven face) but still got a nice beer gut going. Of all the things they CG'ed in DAD, this they let it slide?????????

I wish I had Pierce Brosnan's beer gut.

My top 5 would go something like

Goldfinger
Casino Royale
Goldeneye
Dr. No
From Russia with Love

I will say License to Kill has a special place in my heart just because Timothy Dalton is underrated and often forgotten as Bond :p

He's totally sucking in his gut in above scene. But when he escapes and enters the hotel later, he lets it all hang.

I love me some License to Kill but I prefer TLD b/c Dalton looked pretty bad in LTK due to his hair loss. His hair is pretty much combed back instead of parted to the side like in LTD or in most other previous Bond films.

True, but I just felt LtK was the better film.

I know for a fact that Living Daylights by A-Ha is the worst theme song. The Moonraker song is pretty good, I think that was Shirley Bassey as well. Listen to the Thunderball song by Tom Jones though, he really nails the tone of the movie.

I like that song. /shrug

License to Kill is the worst Bond theme song.

My personal top 7:
1. On Her Majestys Secret Service
2. Casino Royale
3. For Your Eyes Only
4. Thunderball
5. The Living Daylights (The Milkman is among the best henchmen in the series)
6. Goldfinger
7. Quantum of Solace

Yea necro was a boss, even had his own theme song.

And then they completely bungled it up with Quantum of Solace.

writers strike

I remember seeing this movie in highschool and thinking. Bond was tortured for more than a year and he still has a gut? (not present in this scene)

Pierce Brosnan is fucking awesome.

A View to a Kill is pretty awesome to see a near 60 year old James Bond try to stop young Christopher Walken

Casino Royale/The Living Daylights for me. I thought Dalton was an incredible Bond. Of the Connery ones I like Dr. No and Goldfinger. I like to forget the Roger Moore movies.

My top 5:

1. OHMSS (really it should be everybody's favorite)
2. From Russia with Love (Red Grant is my favorite villain)
3. Goldeneye (after Dalton this was a godsend. Also I freaked out when I first saw the trailer for this in the theaters. Best Bond trailer ever.)
4. Dr. No (Connery was a boss)
5. Goldfinger (That car, that golden girl, that laser.)

A View to a Kill was my first experience and I loved it at the time. The theme song was the best. After some time though I learned to despise Moore as Bond after I watched them all. His movies just do not hold up years later.

Love Casino Royale
Like all the Pearce Bond films.

But none compare to the first 4 Sean Connery films. When I think of James Bond I think of the man in those films.

Dude is like the latin dude in the recent liquor movies. If old school Connery kicked my ass I'd have a hard time being upset about it.

After some time though I learned to despise Moore as Bond after I watched them all. His movies just do not hold up years later.

Roger Moore ...or the writers of the series...added way too much humor to Moore's Bond.

Plus...he came off as an aristocrat...kinda high brow. imo

The Moore films kinda embraced what I don't like about most movies from the 70s. (Saturday Night Fever, Star Wars, Rocky being some of the exceptions)

Both Martin Campbell directed movies for me: Casino Royale and Goldeneye. The guy has a gift for Bond films. They should hire him more often.

They started out great with Live & Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun. But then they started to get so fucking campy. Fur-lined subs. Jaws became a cartoon character. Grace Jones. It became a parody of itself.

Dalton brought a Miami Vice vibe. But Pierce Brosnan brought the franchise back with GoldenEye.
