I expect it's not about revealing information. It's about showing he'll testify about his conversation with Trump and other info in public.

I don't believe that. Even if they kick him out, Republicans who've become fed up with Trump will just blame him as the sole point of failure in the GOP, and will champion the next repugnant asshole who runs on the same platforms.

Comey absolutely would not do this without Mueller's okay. Mueller must feel that comey testifying won't harm his investigation.
