That's actually extremely huge if State of the Game joins Giant Bomb/Gamespot. I wouldn't be surprised to see a push into esports, similar to IGN.

Makes sense for CBSi and Gamespot but I think Giant Bomb is too small to dedicate a lot of resources to something so specific.

If they do have a contract (the quoted post is 100% speculation), it could mean having the State of the Game guys blogging and covering events for GB, with the occasional weigh-in from Brad (the only one who cares).

DE:HR did get screwed in GOTY :(

Even if the ending is nearly as bad as ME3.

Deus Ex's last bit was at least justified, I loved it personally.
Boiling that game down to a philosophical choice
felt entirely appropriate, even meaningful.

The actual final level though, yeah. Apart from
Hugh Darrow's
last scene, Pretty bad. At least you're plenty overpowered to get through things quicker.

Still should have been top 10, at least.

That still seems like a strange fit for Giant Bomb but it would be interesting. I'm a fan of professional Starcraft 2, especially the GSL but I'm not sure what an influx of ultra competitive gamers would do to the Giant Bomb community.

I couldn't handle them, rambling, talking about inside jokes no one knows about, asking questions to things they have already talked about, talking about how great GB is.

It's painful to listen to.

Compliments are never a bad thing. It's not like someone pulled their dick out and start jacking off whilst reading their Giant Bomb inspired fan poetry. You travel to Boston and wait in line and then wait in line again to ask a question, damn right you're going to want to say you're a big fan because you obviously mean it.

You're at a video game website panel that you likely traveled to. We know you're a fan. Ask your question.

Also true. But it's not a bad thing. They (the fans) don't give a fuck about people watching online anyway, and why should they? Would you? I know I wouldn't.

It goes without saying.
And often it's the entirty of what they have to say, making it a double waste of time.

I'm gonna guess it's Gamespot, Slasher is already covering stuff for them. Sure they might do something with Giant Bomb at some point, but I think they're in contract with Gamespot.

Yeah, people get in line so everyone can hear them talk for a few minutes, then drop a shitty question at the end that gets a 5 word answer. It's part of the reason why Q&As at these things are always so terrible. Some people probably had actual questions.

Like others I'll have to just skip those segments, a shame since there could be a use for them.

If I went to a PAX panel I would be so annoyed that these people wasted half an hour that could have been spent with the guys doing their thing.

I'd probably just leave at that point if there wasn't the possibility that they might announce something after the Q&A. PAX sounds too fun to waste listening to a Q&A you can watch online. Worth pointing out that the GB guys seemingly ran out of stuff to do after an hour, which was a bummer.

I know they're probably against it, but I really would like some more preparation from the guys other than just wrangling their Harmonix buds to do the opening music, though that is great in itself. I mean that magic trick had me laughing the hardest.

I really hope Dave addresses this on Friday:

When I have to resort to Google because their video categories and naming are so bad, you really need to re-think how you do it.

Now I'm going to have fun watching this again because I was drunk as fuck the first time I did and fell asleep half way through.

I usually just find the page of the game they played for TNT and then find the video there. But you're absolutely right, it is borderline criminal how badly the videos on their site is categorized.

And their YouTube channel is a mess... some videos labelled Gameplay, others correctly labelled Quick Look... no use of the Shows feature so everything is just a big list.

State of the Game coming to Giantbomb is cool I guess. Kind of makes me think 8-4 might be bringing their podcast as well. They said said on their last podcast that they're parting ways with 1UP, and Patrick and Ryan kind of caught my eye when they mentioned OUR FRIENDS FROM JAPAN when Brad proposed a trip to TGS this year. Aren't Patrick and Mark McDonald buddies?

I'd like some serious reorganisation for the videos section, too. We need a TNT tab, at the least. Time-specific collections would be good too- make it easier to find all videos from E3 when that's on, for example, and same for PAX and GOTY stuff.

They mention on the latest bombcast that that was the last time they run with that format for a panel setting. That for the next time they would do something else.

The names would work better with a middle part in quotes. So change Trick Klepek to Patrick "Trick" Klepek, and then you can have Brad "Emails" Shoemaker, Ryan "Uh Uh Uh Uh Uh" Davis, Jeff "Murder Slingshot" Gerstmann and Vinny "Cunt" Caravella. Or whatever you prefer to have.

Apart from that small suggestion, it's bitchin'.

If you grew up near a wooded area (or construction site) and didn't find random porn at some point, consider your childhood incomplete.
