Trying to get into some side scroller action on my mac, but keyboards suck. Just picked up a wired 360 controller, but I'm not sure how to install it, or which drivers are compatible with OSX El Capitan (10.11.6)

Yes. It's still these old drivers. http://tattiebogle.net/index.php/ProjectRoot/Xbox360Controller/OsxDriver But this one is taking it over. https://github.com/360Controller/360Controller/releases

But it won't work with some games on steam, cause of conflicts, I'm looking at you Meat Boy.

I would recommend getting a Cheep XBONE controller(bluetooth version) and connecting it with a USB cable. It works better with steam and OpenEMU.
