Xbox One Extra CPU Core Will Allow Smoother Frame Rates: Technomancer Dev

GamingBolt got in touch with Spiders CEO Jehanne Rousseau, whose studio is working on The Technomancer for PS4, Xbox One and PC, as to whether the Xbox One’s seventh core was used to improve game performance.
“We are not using it yet but this is only a matter of time! This is very interesting for us to have access to this processor. We will use it to do a part of our computations to smooth the frame rate. In fact we designed our new engine to be very flexible about the number of processors. With mainly in mind the numerous PC designs, but this will also be useful for this 7th processor.”

Isn't this like the third thing MS has done to the Xbone to supposedly make it faster? Wonder if this one will work.

GamingBolt truly moves to "get in touch" with developers and get these type of useless quotes...
And part of the 7th CPU core has been freed a long while ago...

If all of the Kinect reserves within the system have been or will be transfered over to developers, does that mean said accessory will be rendered useless unless on the dashboard?

How can the system turn these things on and off with a simple home button press without massive load times to transition resources?

hasn't it been performing better than it did at launch . it wont perform any magic but it might slightly help frame rate or resolution like the things they have done before

I check N4G once a week and I swear for the last 2 years they are always one of the top stories with random dev quotes.

"Dev X says esram is a pain"
"Dev Y says esram isnt a issue"
"Dev Z says ddr5 ram in the PS4 is a god send"
"Stardock guy says something about Direct X 12 for the 57th time"

etc.. over and over.

Finally, since this has more to do with CPU speed than GPU memory reserves, this should inherently indicate that the sub-1080p controversy will remain for the rest of the system's lifespan, correct?

I thought the supposed performance improvements were negligible at best? I don't remember the specifics. If true, that's great though for Xbone owners.

1st Cloud, 2nd esram, 3rd DirectX 12, 4th extra cpu core, next it also can transform becoming bumblebee...almost 2 years on...it still barely nothing...

The system level features are still active (especially voice commands, that can use some of the 7th core without warning, according to leaks about the SDK). I guess the depth camera is turned on again when you get to the dashboard.

These latent X1 power articles just keep on happening. Always from Gaming bolt too. Its time to let the dream die.

CEO... Asked about a core. Not using it yet...

So a non story?

CPU performance could mean better framerate is open world type games and better performance with Alphas maybe? or the ability to handle more draw calls?
