Great news. I prefer PC for all my "sports" games due to all the modding. Still a shame, Madden is console only.

Huh, well in that case I may pick this up when it comes out. I heard the create-a-superstar mode has been improved, correct?

Rubbish as always.

Last great wwf game is still No Mercy on the N64 (though All Stars was ok)

At this point "No Mercy" is just a troll post.

There are better games than No Mercy, Smackdown Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain are infinitely better and still hold up much better than No Mercy.

WWF WM 2000 and 2 WCW games on N64 were also pretty similar to No Mercy.

Well yeah, hence why I said "last". The Ultimate Muscle games later on the same engine were also great. I'm not trolling. The lock up system of NM is still my fave

I wasn't a fan of any of the smackdown branded games that I can remember myself. The names are a blur at this point though.

How was the previous version, and what's different in this years one?

Same old shit. They added limited reversals despite the reversal problems being their own doing via getting rid of one of the reversal buttons. Now this means when creating a CAW that you want to play online with, it's best to know the moves that give your opponent the worst windows to counter with since they can waste a dot getting up and yo can smack them straight away, or make them use another dot.

They made submissions even worse, which is cute. Career mode is hilarious with people having to warp backstage from a match you were fighting them in to come out and make a surprise appearance. Universe is barely changed. Match creator isn't back.

But hey, you can make Divas again I guess. And one match has Joey Styles on commentary.

It's official:

Don’t fret, PC gamers — your wait for WWE 2K16 is almost over.

On Wednesday, 2K – with a little help from former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins – announced details about its ongoing development of WWE 2K16 for Windows PC. The world-renowned video game publisher indicated that the PC version of WWE 2K16 will largely mirror the console versions available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, including its critically-acclaimed simulation gameplay experience, as well as the largest WWE video game roster in history.

Unlike its console version counterparts, WWE 2K16 for Windows PC will make all of its popular downloadable content offerings available immediately and free of charge. That means PC grappling gamers will have instant access to sought-after content, including popular DLC Packs featuring new Superstars and moves, exclusive 2K Showcase modes and two playable versions of WWE Hall of Famer Arnold Schwarzenegger which reprise his iconic T-800 role from the feature films “The Terminator” and “Terminator 2: Judgment Day.”

WWE 2K16 for Windows PC will be available for purchase via Steam for $49.99.

One of the first customers for 2K’s upcoming Windows PC release is sure to be Seth Rollins, who is just as renowned throughout the WWE Universe as an avid gamer as he is for his exploits with The Shield and The Authority. He recently revealed his gaming proficiency through recent appearances on the popular WWE on YouTube channel UpUpDownDown, a surprising talent he has secretly honed over many years.

“I’ve been playing video games my whole life,” Rollins said. “And I’m actually getting more and more into it with some of the games that have been coming out recently. Maybe I’ve been hanging around Woods and the New Day guys too much. I think most people from my generation grew up with video games and can remember the first time they picked up a controller. After all these years, it’s crazy to see how far they’ve come.”

Like many WWE fans, the free DLC offerings of WWE 2K16 for Windows PC should help satiate Rollins’ appetite for competition in the virtual world of sports-entertainment. He especially appreciates how 2K’s latest WWE video game helps bring past wrestling heroes into the current competitive landscape.

“I’m a bit of a WWE historian myself, and one of the things I’m most excited about is being able to play as the past, present and future – no pun intended – of WWE,” Rollins said. “Every year, the DLC in the WWE 2K games gives people some of that, whether it’s great legends and rivalries of the past, or the latest additions to the NXT roster.”

Combining the largest WWE video roster in history with expansive DLC offerings means WWE fans can conjure up all sorts of dream matches when they create their dream WWE 2K16 match cards. In describing the many virtual opponents he’d like to share the ring with, Rollins identified one NXT Superstar in particular who would make a worthy foe in 2K’s virtual WWE ring.

“Samoa Joe is a guy I have a lot of history with,” Rollins said. “And he’s now in NXT and part of the included DLC content. Now, you can recreate all those great matches we had in WWE 2K16.”

From the popular MyCareer and 2K Showcase modes to the largest WWE video game roster in history to the expansive DLC offerings, Rollins considers WWE 2K16 to be nearly perfect. In fact, there’s just one thing he would change about the game: WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin as 2K’s choice for the game’s cover Superstar.

“If you ask me, Seth Rollins should have been the cover star of WWE 2K15, 2K16 and, of course, be on the cover of all future WWE 2K games to come,” he said.
