Update Details

Game physics have been updated.The contents of the update are as follows:
  • Force Feedback intensity has been adjusted.
  • Various sound sources have been updated.
  • Online experience has been improved.
  • Rolling starts now available in [Daily Races].
  • The algorithm behind the calculation of the Sportsmanship Rating has been changed.
  • It is now possible to assign specific buttons to hazard lights and indicators.
  • The braking indicator can now be switched ON/OFF under [Driving Options].
  • Saved game data files are now stored online.
  • Fixed certain bugs

Great thing about betas....fuss at them and make them fix the crap that needs to be fixed.

I like the Alpha/Beta scene on consoles now (this gen). It was really needed.

Still sad I'm not in this :(

I can drive great with a controller/chase cam. Chase cam feels weird with a wheel.

Patch added a lot of things, even undocumented ones. For example, trackside crowd listens to their own music. :D

I'm bummed about not getting into the beta, but man I'm so glad they are listening to feedback and improving. I'm so excited for another GT.

Holy shit you can change the seating position/fov in cockpit view, that's an amazing feature for me! Last game that had this was Test Drive Unlimited and I've missed it ever since. I hate it so much when the cockpit camera is so narrow and high, I wanna see a bit more of the steering wheel and interior while driving.

man that sound is omfg . now it feels like a fucking epic racing game. how can I join the beta if its still running ? I wana play it at least once :(

Gear changes are still pretty bad, and that crackling is very over exaggerated. Step in the right direction though. :D

Those backfires sound like digital noise, like someone's playing Yahtzee with the exhaust system. Not much creamy burbling going on. Engines sound a bit better, but not near DriveClub quality yet, especially on the Ferrari.

For sim racers I always have felt that I can better detect and react to small movements in the car when the camera is fixed to the bumper than when it is at a distance and the view may/may not move with the car.

I've had the beta since it started but I have yet to start it up. I just really want a good setup for my wheel and pedals though.

Agreed, especially the gear changes are in need of major improvements. I believe it will happen, because the game has undergone an enormous transformation since its first reveal. :)

Wow, can't believe PD has finally delivered,so fsr, some decent audio here.
Yes, the gear changes and overall transmission/driveline simulation is lacking but the other effects are so much better than any GT game that has come before.
Seriously PD, you guys are nearly there, just work on the trans/driveline and you might just get me back into GT again!

I believe there will be more updates before the beta ends.

I can't wait to see the shape the game will be at release this year's end.

Even sounds good on my phone... I'd be happy if the audio launched in this state tbh but if they continue to improve. Great.

Chase cam looks a crap ton better than what they used to trot out. Couldn't believe they used to make the camera turn with the car. Still looks like it has a little of the effect.
