Uk for now:

Capcom’s ‘Lost Planet: Extreme Condition’ holds on to the No1 spot in the All Formats Chart for a 2nd consecutive week, while the football heavyweights of ‘Pro Evolution Soccer 6’ and ‘FIFA 07’ swap places - Konami’s ‘PES 6’ up one place to No2 and EA’s ‘FIFA 07’ dropping to No3.

There are now 6 games in the All Formats Top 10 by 4 different Japanese publishers (Capcom, Konami, Nintendo and Sega). Sega also claim this weeks highest new entry with the ‘Sega Mega Drive Collection’ on PSP/PS2 at No4 (No1 in the PSP budget chart, No3 on PS2 budget), while Nintendo’s Wii games continue to sell well with 2 Wii exclusives in the Top 10 – ‘Wario Ware: Smooth Moves’ up from No6 to No5 and ‘Wii Play’ down from No4 to No7, while ‘The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess’ is this week’s highest climber, up from No21 to No13. Nintendo can also celebrate success on DS with a Top 10 re-entry for ‘New Super Mario Bros.’, up from No11 to No8 as well as a first appearance in the Top 40 for ‘Star Fox Command’ at No26 in its second week of release.

‘Little Britain: The Video Game’ becomes the only Blast/Mastertronic game in the Top 40 village this week, new at No14, while Ubisoft’s film tie-in ‘Rocky Balboa’ on PSP has an excellent second round, entering the Top 40 for the first time at No27 in its second week of release. The only remaining Top 40 new entry is Sony Online Entertainment/Koch Media’s ‘Vanguard: Saga of Heroes’ at No34, a new MMORPG from the makers of Everquest – set to provide competition with ‘World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade’ which drops out of the Top 10 (down from No5 to No18).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Britain_merchandise#Video_Games
Little Britain The Video Game is a collection of mini-games presented in the format of an episode from the TV show and players can get interactive with their favourite sketch show characters in a series of eight mini-games featuring Lou and Andy, Vicky Pollard, Mr. Mann, Emily and Florence, Marjorie Dawes, Daffyd Thomas, Judy & Maggie and Letty. Each mini game plays like a sketch from the TV show and to win the game, the player must progress through all the sketches to the end of the show, where the credits will roll.

there were days when GCN/GBA games struggled to stay on the charts for a single week, now they are mainstays and increasing month by month...

Can Nintendo's momentum be stopped?

I guess we'll find out in late March.

Personally, I think it's because the ad is awesome. Maybe it's the arctic environment that appeals to me because I'm just a sucker for The Thing, but it actually made me want to go out and buy it. Adverts never make me want to buy anything.

Lost Planet is impressive, and Wario Ware arguably even more so, given Wii's limited install base.

However, it has to be kept in mind that we're in early February so you probably won't be selling as much to reach #1 as you would have to a few months down the line (I'm not going on any scientific data there, just supposing that - like, say, CDs - software will also sell less in the couple of months following Christmas). Still going really well though.

Wow, the Nintendo DS, X-Box 360, and Wii are all doing rather well.
They each have a good number of games on the UK chart.
The Wii is defintely off to a good start, and seems to be keeping its momentum, with the games sticking on the charts for a good while now.
The X-Box 360 has also been doing rather well. How well did it perform during launch? Don't think anyone expected it to do this well.

In Ireland, not so much, but there are a few games on each respective system there as well.

In my local Game store, for some reason they dedicated a shelf for it last week...maybe there was a massive restock.

Thats quite impressive for a small user base such as Wii has currently!

We're finally getting some systems, so not much of a surprise
Wii sales of 3rd party games being almost as high as 360 and PS2 whereas the GC would have been 5% or less more than likely, is a surprise.
Especially as Wii probably has a hugely smaller installed base compared to them 2 systems!

You're talking about Wii sales of games that have been out on 360 and PS2 for months and months compared to Wii owners just picking up their console. Comparing the LTD would see the Wii at much lower levels.

Go GCN version of Twilight Princess!

To be fair, I live in Ireland and haven't even seen a Gamecube copy of Twilight Princess, I'd presumed it hadn't even been released in Europe. Have other Europeans seen the game on the shelves, or is it just that none of the Irish stores have bothered getting any copies in?

I visited EB Games in Copenhagen, Denmark on the day of release, and they had the whole front shelf removed to make room for the GC-version. About 20-25 copies, I'd assume.

What the hell is this game about?

The death of video gaming.

Capcom must be happy - this is Lost Planet's 3rd week at number 1.

Helped massively by the drought in new releases last week and the slightly misleading (but very pretty) adverts. :D

You're talking about Wii sales of games that have been out on 360 and PS2 for months and months compared to Wii owners just picking up their console. Comparing the LTD would see the Wii at much lower levels.

I thought those were the break downs of to date sales?
I doubt Zelda is selling that level every week?

really, I thought that was the breakdown for the week. If it is LTD, then that is impressive!

EDIT: actually, I doubt it is LTD breakdown, because if so Gamecube Zelda tripled its LTD % against wii in the last week, and that doesn`t sound right does it? Also, I can`t believe PES6 sold more copies on 360 than on PS2 overall.

Its possible, would only have needed sell a few thousand or so, which is possible?

Yeah, has any site made a brash article about why "Microsoft" think they can get away with this? and the small print "this CG is representative of in-game graphics" makes me laugh, just use in-game footage the game looks good.

The breakdowns posted the last few weeks (and hopefully for the foreseeable future) are always for the week. I'm just too lazy to post them for all the games.

Norway:

Consoles:
1. Buzz Junior: Jungle Party
2. Need For Speed Carbon
3. Singstar Norsk på norsk
4. Lost Planet: Extreme Condition
5. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
6. Gears of War
7. Buzz: The Sports Quiz
8. FIFA 07
9. Lego Star Wars II
10. Singstar Legends

I think I've asked before, but what's the source on this? I only know Manual who lists game sales from Norway, and they haven't updated in a while. Any link would be greatly appreciated :).
