it's Bandai Namco - they planned on selling 2million units. Asked how this was possible when there weren't that many PS3s sold yet they said, quote, "we're very clever"

I don't agree. Namco Bandai said that they needed to sell 500,000 to make a profit, and if you look at the top five they're up to 490,000.

I'd say that we should give Sony another 3 months to mount a comeback, but the fact is that Sony has absolutely nothing lined up. Things are not going to get better until at least September, we could see multiple weeks of PS3 at less than 10,000 hardware with no games in the top 50.

Basically, Nintendo has won Japan. Will it be a DS style domination? I'm not betting on it, but PS3 selling more systems than the Wii is not going to happen.

these games were some of the biggest games on the cube compared to the ps3's games which apart from resistance arent really system sellers

Oh, fps. Gears was the first one popped up in my mind as it was one of the few western shooters that sold really well in japan in its initial launch week.

After 5 months, no 360 games passed 100k mark, AFAIK. Dead or Alive was about 80k, Ridge 6 at 50k, NNN around 30k, PGR3 at 25k and Rumble Roses XXX at 20k.

I think that's your top...

I think there might be a few surprises. Gundam Musou wasn't revealed until like 2-4 months before the release date. Who knows if there will be more.
