More Sting games for the DS are always welcome! :D :D

Wasn't the original turn-based though?
Yes, this is a remake of the "if" game that was released on mobile phones with a turn-based system and real-time battles, wikipedia actually has a pretty good description of it:
Not long after the announcement of the PSP remake of Yggdra Union, a larger mobile phone game effort was released called Yggdra Unison: Beat Out Our Obstacle. The game features a territory conquering system similar to that found in games like Emperor: Battle for Dune. There are eleven armies vying for 36 territories in the game, each taking a turn in which they can attack a neighboring territory, potentially conquering it and thus increasing their presence on the continent. In battle, characters move around in real time, and when two opposing enemies encounter each other, a skirmish more similar to those found in Fire Emblem is initiated, with the units attacking each other. With proper timing a Unison attack can be activated, in which all allies within a circular range of the skirmish will also engage. The cards featured in the original Yggdra Union are also activated within skirmishes.

I hope the DS game is more than a graphical spit-shine though.

Real-time. Damn, those guys are good xD

I totally love their artwork (including sprites). Gorgeous and fun to play games. They also seem to create more complicated gameplay now unlike before. Knights in the Nightmare has so many new elements, yet previous games like Riviera were more focused on art than the gameplay (which wasn't very new or innovating).

I never saw the point of ST!NG screenshots. It's not like you can tell how to play the game from them anyway. :p

Anyway, I'm interested. If/when it comes over, I'll be there.

Hu? I have to disagree. While it's true that Riviera is the least innovating game in the Dept Heaven saga, it was still very unique to play and has a very well thought-out battle/exploration system.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?

Hell yes! I've been really impressed with Sting's portable output lately. They've come a LONG way from Evolution.

Atlus is basically the US branch of Sting now, so this and Hexyz Force are almost certainly coming to NA.
They are also publishing Sting games in Japan now. I wonder if this will have any effect on the usually rather modest sales Sting games achieve.

What is Hexyz Force, and how did I miss word of that?

Hexyz Force is fugly. You missed word of it because nobody cares.

Sting loves slow-ass battle animations. A battle with 3 attacks takes 41 seconds.

Yeah, the Atlusnet website pimps Sting games. They'll be getting absorbed sooner or later, like the Growlanser dudes.
