YouTube Me Again! converts links into embedded videos. It provides information such as titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and even duration.

New features: HTML5 Video (WebM/MP4), Soundcloud, and Vine playback.

Get it:


Installation notes:

  • Firefox users need Greasemonkey.
  • Scriptish is old and will cause issues!
  • Chrome and Opera (15+) can install the script using TamperMonkey
  • Alternatively, Chrome users can install the extension.
  • Opera 12 users need to place the script in their user scripts directory.
  • Safari users will need GreaseKit or NinjaKit.

Common issues:

  • If you see two or more thumbnails, it means you have an older version already installed. Remove it.
  • If you had an older version but now the new one looks odd, make sure you have removed the old one.

Well, IE9 should have all the requirements as far as I know to run the script. I haven't really researched user scripts on ie9.

Thanks for the update. It took me a minute to remember how to uninstall the old one.

Essential. Especially for sports threads and the like. I dont want to have to launch 20 tabs to see what someone is linking. This thing is perfect. Been using 1.8, Ill go ahead and upgrade.

Trying to figure out what I did wrong.

I already have a script folder for opera. So I saved the script as user.js file, then put it in that folder. Restarted opera. Nothing.

Is it due to me using a custom userstyle for neogaf, to get the tabs at the top to show up right..?*

edit: it works for firefox , chrome etc...

*the gaming/off topic/community tabs I mean.
I don't know which thread had that fix, so I'm not gonna get rid of that... if it is that, of course...

Wow, it even has animated thumbnail previews. I was wondering the other day why Youtube still doesn't have this while other, less popular sites do. Guess they have a hard enough time loading the damn videos. :p

The tabs have been fixed for a while now.

Right click on the page > Site Preferences > Scripting > Use JavaScript Foder

Select the folder from there.

Awesome, thanks for your work OP.

After finding all the GAF related extensions in the Chrome store, I was thinking about gathering all these enhancements out there into a single thread. Does a thread like that exist already?

edit: tabs are fixed as you said. but the script aint working its magic on me.

Installed, this is great. Thanks for taking the time out to do this.

If there's anything that could be different, I don't like how the thumbnails look.

They're supposed to look simplistic. Suggestions are always welcome.

That's exactly how I installed it. opened the script and saved it in the javascript-folder and works perfectly here (11.10 btw)

First I made a new thread (the poetry thread). Then went to make my self a cup of tea. My brother was using this pc. I came back to see him reading this thread. And it working.

Well, I'm glad its working now...
