Tomb Raider nominated for Game of the Year, Best Design, and Best Narrative? Wow. 2013 must have been a terrible year.

The Last Of Us to do yet another clean sweep.

Why the fuck is it in the best Visual Art design? As far as destroyed beauty goes? It's pretty weak.

Heppe's pretty cool but she can't top the host from the BAFTA awards a couple of weeks ago. The draw for me is to see what the development community picks.

Don't forget the IGF awards, which take place right before this.

Excited, but hope the production is better than it was last, which were the worst GDC / IGF ceremonies I've seen in a few years.

I have nothing against her, but I very much doubt she achieved that.

LOL Bioshock Infinite not being nominated for best narrative. That's gotta sting.

I don't really agree with a lot of the nominations, but I'll see how it goes.

I liked the design of the Clickers. Other than that, not exactly sure.

Both Tearaway and TLoU have 5 nominations. It might be another BAFTA situation.

Bioshock losing a narrative nomination to TR... hahahaha.

Look at dem all Tearaway nominations!

Seriously, this and The Last of Us have the most nominations, 5.

Which is funny, both came from Sony, both are critically acclaimed, but one sold like hot cakes, the other bombed like nothing else.

I was checking and it looks like the IGF Awards will be part of this event and will start at 6:30 PM and probably run for about an hour with the GDC Awards following afterwards. I think it'll be one ceremony for both sets of awards.

The schedule for both events on the GCD website say they both start at 6:30 PM so I think they've just rolled both events together with the IGF going first.

Happy to see Anita getting recognized, and I do think she helped open up a huge discussion in the industry. An important one.

I question the quality of the initial video (if one was bored enough, you could probably find that in my post history), but they have been getting progressively better and on point -- a shame they take so long to come out.

Then shouldn't this award go to the guy who created Aeon of Strife? Or Eul? Or Guinsoo?

Yeah... Tomb Raider with a GOTY nomination, fine. But Best Narrative? Come on now, dev bros.

TLOU will sweep.
