ChepChep has pretty much finished his English patch for La Pucelle Ragnarok, a PSP game which is an enhanced port of La Pucelle(which came out on the PS2).

The new features that ChepChep noticed while hacking:

-New Game+ mode
-Four bonus chapters about how Prier becomes a Demon Overlord
-Purify works slightly different and you can get double turns for characters if you purify with your character in the stream.
-1000+ new NPC lines
-Disgaea characters can be unlocked during new game+ (Prinny, Flonne, Etna and Laharl)
-Speed up battle by allowing you to turn off battle animations
-Choose either A or B mode of moving the cursor
-More tutorials
-Item/equipment record keeping - if you acquire all items in game there is a surprise that you can get
-Can get multiple Warp Engines, RoboSuits and Lightyear cannons

Bolded features should make the game a lot faster too. Psyched to start playing through this.

Nice, I didn't know someone was working on a patch. Though, I don't know if I'll get the PSP version.

How are the load times for battles compared to the PS2 version?

ChepChep has updated the patch with more images translated, missed text translated and fixed typos and bugs.

Since you have to rip your umd to patch it you're playing a digital version, so there really isn't any.

Great to see this is still coming along---PSP really is becoming the SNES of modern times on this front in a bittersweet sort of way.

ChepChep has released what will probably be the final version of the patch. Save data screen & chapter title images are now translated, bugs have been squashed, typos and various other stuff have been fixed.
