I remember seeing that and thinking Gears was a horror game (though the first game did have some horror elements that the other two games were missing).

Max Payne 3

The shots, the music, the slow motion, the fade/dissolve transitions...it's almost hypnotic. No noise, no voice over, no jokes, no live action, no misrepresentation. It's to the point, stylish, and confident. Rockstar generally has good commercials, but I think this is one of, if not their best. It has the same arresting quality the Gears "Mad World" commercial had without outright lying about the tone of the game.

"Finding Luigi", a live action documentary featuring professional parkour athlete Jesse La Flair and others. I think this ad was part of Nintendo's "Year of Luigi" push. It doesn't really advertise a particular Nintendo product - just Luigi.

Finding Luigi documents Luigi's legendary rise to fame in Parkour and his sudden disappearance from the sport. Highlighting the L-Man's signature moves and incredible mechanics, and featuring testimonials from some of Luigi's closest friends and Parkour colleagues.

Both of these were pretty good - shame they didn't do a new video to go along with the ALBW version of the former, though.

Even though it had absolutely nothing to do with the game, I've always liked the melodramatic Golden Sun commercial.
