For those interested:

Deep Silver today announced that the next instalment of the famed Sacred franchise, Sacred 3, will release on consoles and PC this summer. Sacred 3 takes players back into the fantasy realms of Ancaria, where they will need to band together in the hope of vanquishing the deadly tides of evil. Sacred 3 will be released for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and for the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system from Microsoft as well as Windows PC.

Sacred 3 features classic arcade Hack ‘n’ Slash action centred around drop in, drop out cooperative multiplayer for both offline (2 players) and online (4 players) play. The game brings back fan-favourite characters such as the Seraphim, Ancarian, Khukuhru and the Safiri, as well as introduces a new character, Malakhim. Each character class features its own unique skills and weapons which can be upgraded to match the player’s very own combat style. As they master the art of war, players will fight their way through enemy hordes and try to outshine their fellow companions on their way to become the greatest hero of all. The inclusion of mission stats and online leaderboards will continue to drive competition both locally and online. Victory Is Ours. Glory is Mine.

Dammit.

I was thinking about this the other day.

I don't think I'll ever get around to playing it, so won't be buying.

They should have tried to port it to the PS4. Maybe it's not too difficult if it's easy to port from the PC.

Sacred was pure class, never played Sacred 2 tho (was it shit?)

No, Sacred 2 was very good. Definitely a little silly, but a good time. I think my main problem was that you couldn't respec at all (at least I believe that was right) and I got pretty far along in the game and kind of broke my character and didn't want to start over.

Hopefully current gen versions are announced because I could use more same screen loot games.

Can't wait to see some gameplay either way

Would buy on PS4. For some reason I enjoyed Sacred 2 on PS3 more than PC. I think the camera controlled badly on PC.

Would be interested for PS4 version... but I have little interest to fire back up the PS3 for this. Maybe I'll wait for some price drops, but would prefer them to port it over, even though that is unlikely.

Loved Sacred2 on my PS3 regardless of the technical short comings. Was great to travel the world on the back of my spider mount. Hope they will release it on PS4, shorter loading times are the real advantage, besides framerate.

Surprised it isn't planned for Xbox One and PS4, to be honest.

This is a very expensive way to tell us "Hey our game exists"

Seriously, this is telling nothing about the game and is interchangeable with 90% other fantasy trailers. Why even make stuff like this?

The first Sacred is awesome (especially the EU version). The amount of fun easter eggs in that game was amazing. I never tried the second one but it's nice to know a third is coming.

Missing next-gen with this is a huge mistake. It will get buried in obscurity. Guess I'll nab it on PC if it has controller support.

did they ever fix the local co op on the console version?

p1 getting 80% of the loot and the loot being unshareable was ridiculous when I'd get shit for my friend's class

Sacred 2 is off its head awesome. I'm in the direct control rules mouse clicking fanclub (it's my preference, I'm not stating ones better than the other) so I'll be down for a console version. Real shame it's not on my PS4 though.

Wouldn't be too surprised if this launches at around the same time as Diablo on next gen - so maybe they don't want to compete yet?

A new Sacred is coming out and we only get to know of this now? That is surprisingly little hype for such a well-received series. I remember the glorious fun I had with it, but never played the second instalment for some reason. Would that still be worth it?

The framerate and load times left a lot to be desired on Sacred 2 on consoles but I still had a wonderful time with it. So much content to.

Looks like the trailer is private now. Was there anything good in it?

It's a trailer similar to the Sacred 2 opening trailer (i.e. pre-rendered action sequence of all the characters against multiple bad guys).

It was fun but nothing out of the ordinary. No gameplay either.

Bummer, I was mainly hoping for gameplay. I heard a couple years ago they were scrapping the open world style of Sacred 2 and that was one of my favorite things about it.

Wait.. No PS4 version? Huge mistake.

Yep, very odd indeed that they wouldn't want to take some more time to port it over...although I guess we can took forward to a Sacred 3 Definitive edition in the future? haha.

To be fair the game has most likely in development for a few years so a quick switch to the new platforms isn't always so straight forward. Especially with Xbox One and PS4 changing up their specs up till the last minute and internet requirements etc.

It isn't just a case of flick a switch and the game works everywhere.

Omg. Awesome! I loved the Sacred series. So much fun to play with my buddy. Hopefully the Diablo 3 expansion will have worn off by that point.
