Yo not only did he look up the post.... NOT ONLY DID HE DO THAT... he took screen caps of them.... and edited them down to size while underlining the highlights. He did that. Fuck quotes.

Yeah, the lengths he went to are pretty incredible. Enjoyable post for sure. :)

I could go on, but all the above from a game journalist?

C'mon dude. C'MON.

Well done, man, well done.

See now this looks so amazing until you realize it has no SP. It's almost as if the trailer was built to give you that impression. Titanfall should of had a SP, this almost proves it. Who's the good guys and the bad guys?

TheOddOne: Killionaire.

Dead and buried Wotta he did.

I was at work reading that and whispered out GAAAAHT DAAAAAMN.

That ether....

Not sure if serious

I. Am. Serious.

The trailer felt like a movie. One of those blockbuster hits that are high octane, full of explosions, it makes you pumped and your ready to run to the movies to go see it.

The trailer was amazing. So don't take my post as me blasting the game. Full stop. I'm just pointing out my perspective of how the trailer made me feel. It made me feel like there was a story, like there was an actual sp mode that would have told the story to why man and machine has become one. I get that it's a multiplayer story but who exactly are they fighting? Why are they teamed up together? What threat has caused them to fight as one?

Ugh so I just got a deal on Titanfall, but now I'm wondering it's too good to be true:

https://www.g2a.com/titanfall-origin-cd-key-preorder-global.html

I completed via PayPal, and they sent a confirmation email saying the Key would be delivered on release date to my email.

I think I probably should have researched the site a bit more before jumping on the discount. ANyone know anything about g2a? DId I make a big mistake?

Ok, so, after reading a bit on other sites as well as their own, I for now conclude that they seem pretty legit. If the code arrives on time and there are no issues, I will most certainly be going back to them for more given how low some of their prices were. But if I am wrong and anyone DOES have a horror story that I should know about so I cancel my PayPal order, please let me know.

There are two sides fighting each other, not 100% sure why because we haven't yet got our hands on it. From what I can tell, it is going to be telling a story in a new way with other people online.

I don't even understand what happened here with the TheOddOne post.

But then again I didn't like Titanfall after playing it.

lol, all that manufactured de-hype from wotta is just sad.

The forum equivalent of downing someone in Gears, running backwards and forwards into their face before finally delivering mercy with a curb stomp.

But what he says is completely fine and has been mirrored by hundreds of other posters?
That's the part I don't understand. We had more than one thread that called out the ridiculous hyperbole for this game.

The only thing I think is weird is that he didn't like it before and then he liked it, the rest is completely fine to say about a game.

I have it reserved for XB1 and fully paid off.

Just 1 week to go.

This is the first game I am gonna midnight launch in a while.

The amount of effort he's put into bashing the game - sometimes with ironic posts - looks like he's stretching as it is. Then when you realise he's a "games journalist" it all becomes a bit silly.

Someone got a bit too upset about hype for a game they don't like.

Most people here who "stick up for this game" have played it themselves. Is it really fine to keep on telling people that they know nothing, and shouldn't be interested in it/all hype? I'm not a huge fan, but I played the beta, and it was good.

12 posts over the course of over a month.

And when he said "stick up for this game" only an extremely select few have played the game, because that was before the widely available beta.

G2A are legitimate.
G2A might still be banned on GAF according to the forum policies that region-exploiting CD-key resellers are banned.
Whether or not G2A falls under that I don't know and is worth a check with the mods.

(This is only about recommending and linking them, you can of course do what you want.)

Fair enough, but there was a lot of excitement & interest for the game on its first showings, before (and probably why) MS snapped up console exclusivity.

It's a bit silly to get your knickers in a twist over the amount of hype there is for something. Some people who played it, liked it, wrote about it. A lot of people won't like it.

Don't tell me. I defended Titanfall when it got all the accolades at E3 because people were talking about manufactured hype back then and I countered that with: The people voting actually played the game and you lot didn't.

I just didn't get that specific post. Usually you see those kind of posts if someone has an epic meltdown in a single thread and not just a collection of 12 posts about Titanfall and its hype over more than 30 days. ;-)

I once ordered Batman Arkham Origins from that site and in order to complete my registration, they wanted to know my IP address and some other provider info. I freaked out so I asked for a refund instead and luckily they gave me my money back.

From what I´ve heard they always have some odd and random requirements regarding their orders.

Way to take someone's quotes out of context.

You can say what you like about me, I really don't care but here's the truth:

1) I enjoyed the beta but am worried by the lack of official info about what's on the disc
2) I'm completely honest in everything I write, if I do review Titanfall it'll be a completely unbiased review, I've no reason to hate any game despite what fanboys think
3) I've think the fact that I 'm a journalist who works for a retailer and am expressing my fears proves how honest I am, I'm sure my boss would rather I praise every game but that is not me
4) anyone who follows me on twitter knows I like to joke around a lot, so I make the odd comment in the heat of the moment, so what? Who doesn't, I'm pretty sure I could go through gaf and burn everyone.

I'm happy that I'm 100 percent honest, I've no fears as to my integrity, anyone who asks me to review a game or give my opinion on one will get nothing but the truth. You may not like my opinion but that's not gonna stop me from giving it.

Did you not see the official thread? Lots of things has been covered already..From maps, burn cards, weapons, small background of the game plot , the titans and their info etc..

All of which are leaks are they not? How much of that is official info? When have EA and Respawn came out and told us what content you get for £50/$50? I'm just sick of hyping games only for disappointment to follow. Next week will have the real answers and I honestly can't wait for this game to arrive so that the hype can dissipate and we can find out for sure what Titanfall has to offer us.

Look like MS has nabbed the first legit AAA new shooter of the gen. Getting Gears vibes in terms of moving systems

Pretty much the only things you could be extrapolating at this point compared to the 'leaks' would be that there's more content in the game, not less.

OT = Official Thread.
Dude, it's the NeoGAF official thread based around leaked information.

That it's all leaks and not actually official in the way regular people understand the word official was just confirmed on the GameSpot livestream with Vince Zampella. They did not want this information out there that make up the official thread on NeoGAF.

You guys seem to have it out for wotta for some reason.

Don't you think that if those leaks were wrong, Respawn would have corrected them or at least said the leaks are incorrect?

Declaimer: I have avoided reading most of the leaked stuff.

This is completely besides his point. If they bothered 'confirming things' by now, the argument would just then be to wait until it's actually in people's hands.
