Full Schedule has already tweeted that they're diagonal upforward / upback buttons.
nope listen to the stream. It was a misunderstanding. Mr. Wizard assume stick + hitbox button, not U/F and U/B

Sounds like Mr. Wizard.Actually happened.
Wiz said that he called him a dbag for using his name without his permission. I said "So I can't mention you at all unless I clear it with you first? Ok"
The legitimacy of the stick is important for all.Why not just resolve this with a simple private conversation
Yeah, which is pretty sad. You hear JamessMK complain about this shit all the time, with a good chunk of hyperbole attached, but it really is disappointing considering he is an authority and powerful figure in the community.Yep. He'll get away with it though, unfortunately.
Lol at this CORN bullshit on the stream.
"next time you time you *unintelligible* i'mma get in your face, but this time I'mma let you off"
gutless prostration.
the mob mentality is still uncalled for. Apparently this dude has been to tournaments before and used this stick before and no one complained, but now that hes winning you want him DQed?

Yeah... they allow multiple button macros and hardware mods for blinking, but this is over the line? I think either go pure arcade layout or don't. Can't really see how this would not be allowed considering all the other stuff thats fine currently. I'd lean towards just one standard set of controls tho myself.
Then, I really don't see what the big deal is.

Plinking with the back button is a common hardware mod that a lot of players e.g. Daigo use all the time tho.plinking is done all in game, not hardware.
Plinking macro can be done in various ways all done in game.
This mod makes 2 directions pressed at the same time, which is not possible in game.
More like "to allow BYOC."

So a stick with 8 way buttons is broken and bannable. Ban analog sticks. This is just a matter of one button hitting 2 switches.

But thats not macroing. You're just moving the select button. You could still do the same thing on a normal stick but it would be in a different location.
Shouldn't have been any confusion; he showed this diagram to MrWizard in one of the earlier tweets/FB posts

Doesn't a stick have an up-back and up-forward macroswitch? Isn't that macroswitch the equivalent of having a button that serves the same function? We all know that hitboxes are inherently more precise. This would just be a continuation of that.

I believe that the u/b and u/f are just a combination of up/forward and up/back. Its quite different if that is the case.

I'm pretty sure there's a separate u/b and u/f switch.

SixtyFortyFive is asking FullSchedule to come to the salty suite? Nice, we need this drama to prolong :lol
Before today?
This is amazing.
Ah, I see. Yeah.. ball is in MrWizard's court, even if I do agree it was 100% Full Schedule's responsibility to clear it with TOs beforehand. It was in the tweet he sent.

I'm pretty sure there's a separate u/b and u/f switch, no? Or at least certain pads read inputs that way?
kind of a shame to use a particular style of play for a year only to find out you can't. rules like this should be universal.

I do apologize for calling him a dbag. It was unwarranted.
Man, that diagram is pretty unambiguous about what he was proposing. He was pretty deceptive in asking if it was legal. He stated that if could map directionals to a button. That answer is still yes. Mapping multiple directions to a button is not.
I apologized on twitter for calling him a dbag.

@DeAnthrax I don't know. But all I know is the standard Sanwa JLF is 4 microswitches as are all standard arcade levers.
