Koharu No Hibi. I highly recommend it if you want to see a yandere go from adorable, to crazy.
She fits 2 roles of the characters in the OP. There's a scene in the manga, when the main character throws a popsickle stick away after finishing his popsickle. Then the main character finds her later roaming through the trash to get his popsickle stick.
Also, here's another pic when she tries to put glue on the main characters hand so they could hold hands forever.
I think I actually have this on my reading list already after someone in ManGAF recommended it.
All I hope from stuff like this is that the writing and motives for the girls turning into homicidal stalker maniacs is valid. Too many of these type of stories have the girls go crazy for, quite literally, no reason, the most common one being "someone told the gossip queen at school that she liked me, so now everyone is teasing her about it, so that causes her to go insane".
I wouldn't expect much though. The fun is in the mania, but the devil's in the details.
Edit: If people need a western equivlant for a Yandere girl, watch Steven King's "Misery". Kathy Bates is still the best Yandere celluloid has ever captured.

Its a great short read. Worst thing I've seen her do that's violent, was she
forcefully knocked a girl down to kiss her because she kissed the MC (something like she wanted the same kinda kiss that the MC gave the girl he kissed)

Man, the ending of that manga was so rushed. It ended just exactly when it was reaching the best part of the story. And damn, Ayaka was so awesome *3* I don't like yanderes for the most part, but if any of them is like Ayaka; then count me in!

That manga started off so good, then turned terrible within a few short chapters. It went from the life of a boy surrounded by yandere's, into a

Really wish the manga didn't take that turn.
I thought it was terrible enough even before that. Even just having the mc inhabit my imagination made me feel kind of terrible.

That song captures the essence of the yandere character pretty well, actually.

Part of me wishes they had played this to the hilt and released it as a normal harem game without spoiling the twist.
but then they'd have to rename the game, and the name is awesome.
