When they make yuri anime that isn't about two "OH SO KAWAII AND HOT" moe girls, but one that looks at how a relationship like that would play out in reality, then we'll talk.
They should make Gone Home the anime. And I fucking hated Gone Home.
Not for the yuri, but because the kid was stupid.

showing how much of a psycho Gon can be.

What type of pacing do you guys prefer. The ones where theirs action straight in the beginning like Attack on Titan or the ones where they slowly build up, and finally unleash the battle like Hunter X Hunter with the King and Netero.

I do love how after every problematic episode, Togashi found someway to involve the elements I need to make me reassess why I found an episode bad. Too good.
What even? My prediction was wrong, what was Togashi thinking? King looked like he definitely survived last episode at the end but now he's dead. He couldnt escape in time or something?

Definitely the HxH build up kind. If you look at Attack on Titan now fucking nothing has been happening for like 8 chapters and it doesn't feel like a build up to anything exciting or good.

I wonder if the Chimera Ant arc is Togashi's own twist on views of Biological/Nuclear weapons.
Would explain why there's so much narration like someone was reading history and why the necessity of making certain Ant characters appear so human and that whole corruption of Gon. It's pretty awesome.

To me Togashi's a brilliant writer, yeah he may have some mishaps but who doesn't. And knowing that he wrote Yu Yu Hakusho which has great pacing and an amazing ending shows that he's talented.

Attack on Titan suffered from lengthening out scenes that didn't need to be lengthened out by slow motion thinking and flashbacks.
Hunter x Hunter Chimera Ant arc suffers from jumping everywhere within a time span and artificially extending episodes where nothing happens for the whole fucking episode FUCK YOU just get out of one thing and rewind time I don't want to see Killua pick a booger and then jump for 4 episodes into other shit and finally come back to him and somebody saying "meanwhile, Killua finally stopped picking that booger. It reminded him of Gon and he started crying"
Hunter x Hunter went from Feast for Crows to Dance with Dragons. They had all these episodes on characters I truly didn't give a fuck about jumping back and forth. Now it finally got to the good shit.

Well, Gon's not a typical Battle Shonen protagonist.
He really doesn't give a shit if what he's doing is "wrong" or correct or just. He just wants to get what he's set on and doesn't care if someone like Komugi would die because of it.
This is a show I don't mind having just two recap movies for since the pacing and animation were so off sometimes.

definitely interested. This might be one of those series that works better as several movies. Unlike Berserk which would work better as a really well animated tv show vs movies since so much shit had to be cut from the films, this actually works because so little happens and they can focus on making the best of it instead of forcing a longer pace.
Honestly I'm afraid how people are going to react to a new season of AoT whenever it comes out. The new stuff has been meh so far besides the (manga spoilers)
fight between Eren and Mikasa vs the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan. Also Eren showing his voice controlling powers. That was pretty sweet

I'm not sure if you're aware or if you're interested but a few people are watching select shows to make up what they're calling a "backlog season" and Crest of the Stars is one of the shows.
That's good to hear that you enjoyed it or thought it was fun. Season 2 is actually airing right now if you want to just carry on.
