If they are willing to make a movie using the same characters and the same story, I don't think a sequel would do much more harm. After seeing this illustration I'm a believer.

TLoU 2 will be made, its too important for Sony and valuable franchise for ND.

Honestly, I'm not surprised if production for TLOU 2 started immediately after TLOU 1, it was just a no brainer after all the positive feedback. It also would explain why there's going to be a PS4 Version, not only do they get to learn the console but they can now easily develop a sequel. Fake or Not, if they are working on TLOU 2 this is probably just the pre-production process in which the artists start creating all the environments and stuff. Would be funny if they cancelled U4 just to put all hands on deck for TLOU 2...God I hope not.

Games that sell very well and get crazy high reviews get sequels. This isn't rocket science.

I would prefer the GTA approach, though. Different characters and settings, allowing us to explore the TLOU universe.

What was so perfect about the ending.

I just don't get this at all. It's equivalent to having an amazing meal and saying, I'm good, I don't want another amazing meal ever.

What about all the ideas that they left in cutting room floor due to the PS3's limited hardware? What about other stories they want to tell in the universe? What about having things set up in different times of this crisis, like the far future.

Think bigger.

That fact that people are excited about not getting another great game boggles my mind.

I know everyone has their own opinions, but I think its crazy that people don't want some kind of a sequel to this universe. Ellie is a great character, and I would like to see her more fleshed out in another game. I could only imagine that the FireFlies

I agree with this. Ellie was probably my favorite game character ever, but I would prefer the sequel to focus on different characters.

I say this now, but I'm going to buy TLoU2 day one even if it means playing as an 80 year old Ellie.

I definitely believe the TLoU2 is coming, but I don't think it will be shown at this years E3, they got some good games to show (Uncharted, The Order...). I think we will see it next year at E3, and by that time their is a chance that these character models (if real) change. I don't think the next game will involve the same characters from TLoU 1, but I believe it will take place in the same universe during the same time frame.
