Yes all the red, blue, green cats from wave 1 to 2 are cappable. Their sub skills give either other cats or million arthur monsters some boosts. If you captured multiple of the same one you can just feed it to each other for 100% skill up chance.

Huh... So basic tip for those who haven't hit higher mission tiers yet... when you start seeing evolved forms of monsters thrown into the mix, when you capture them, you actually get the original base form.

I'm at the 8 star missions... This probably was happening earlier, but I'm probably only noticing this now.

Woohoo.

Lucked out today.

I've won two coliseum matches so far. The first one just barely. The second one...

BmXA9PiIgAA0jDR.jpg

First round was pathetic, but then we just completely massacred the other side. It was glorious.

EDIT: Aaaaaand 3rd win in the bag. We just need at least 3 wins, right?

Well, since the chain kind of broke when Hige got two referrals, I'd appreciate it if somebody used mine ^^

ref id: sa320c2
(Make a note here if you used it!)

The special event (Million Nyanko) stages are amazing for grinding levels
Be sure to save some stamina for those and hope for some high-level folks to arrive and carry you.

hello gaf new player here :3 i used the id above and mine is i77429e

Yeah, now you just gotta figure out if you value the 40~80 Dragon Medals/day or the sweet sweet EXP from the collab more.

Also check out this close shave of survival just now

What I really need is Black Medals. I'm 4 Black Medals shy of getting that Million Cat Girl card.

I wanted her too but I don't think I can get to the 10* event dungeon and survive it in a week, since I need evo mats to uncap most of my team, which will be at least another two days of mostly grinding that. Which leaves me with less then 4 days to go from 6* to 10* and run the event dungeon till I can finish it, don't really think that's possible since I started not even a week ago, still, I'm pretty happy with how far I've come in this short a time because of how stupid good this exp is from those cherries.

Oh right, game is hard.

I've just got enough black medals for her. Managed to get a good run of the 8* dungeon to pass 500 points. Just need to get some more dragon medals since I spent them on the 3+ shuffle.

For some reason, my iPad is missing the background images during fights. I'm just fighting monsters in a black void. My iPhone isn't having this issue. I even deleted the app and downloaded it again, but it didn't fix anything. Anyone else having this problem?

Does the drop rate for treasures decline in later dungeons? I have yet to get any treasures from 7-star dungeons despite running one of them over 10 times (20 including wipes, that one is hard). This was for one of the missions that gives 10 gems. I ended up grinding evolution mats instead, since evolving is a reliable source of gems.

So what's the best way to get high-ranked cards? Can anything of worth drop from later dungeons? Or is the gacha the only source of S and above cards? If it is, what's the best way to maintain a supply of gems? Missions are rapidly becoming grind fests and I'm on IOS so referral fraud is not really an option.

If this was out in my region I would probably be considering paying for gems around now but since it's JP-only I am forced to stick to the straight and narrow. In 3 11-pulls of the gacha I only have 2 SS and a few S, and all of my green cards are R which is massively below the standard I see displayed by higher-ranked players who have wall-to-wall God/Dra/SSS rares.

Oh, another thing - can anything evolve by more than 1 rarity? Everything I've done so far has gone up 2 ranks and then stopped. So from R to R+ and then stopped at S.

Generally speaking the only evolutions that happen more than twice are for monsters with DRA or GOD evos.

As for where to get better stuff, you can take advantage of the current event and do the collab app for two free SS cards and also scrounge up 10 black medals for Cat Nimue who caps at DRA. Over the weekend, Club Bad Girls has a featured SS monster every weekend (albeit at cruel cardify rates) and also can drop other S mobs every so often. You can also occasionally obtain an SS monster from the normal gacha, but the probability for that is pretty low.

Buying the soundtrack nets you a code for a GOD monster and the forthcoming art book will come with a code for a green version of Tsukuyomi.

Okay, thanks. Nimue sounds like a good option but time is fast running out. I guess I need to hope for some super high level allies to carry me through the event dungeon a few times.

She'll still be available for purchase in the medal shop up to a week after the event officially ends, so if you're a little bit short you can borrow from the future and use next event's Black Medals to make up the difference.

You can ask chat to help carry you through 8* if that'll get you to 10 medals.

OK, I still have a bunch of questions but to avoid shitposting here I will turn up on IRC at some point. I presume that's what you mean by chat, rather than some ingame thing?

Well both since there's also currently two active English group chats within the game itself, but IRC is more likely to give you real-time answers.

Level 94, 7, 4 and 14 in the lobby. Nope, NOPE! Ain't happening. I better save my tickets for later tonight.

Y'know whats even more infuriating than getting stuck in a team with someone low leveled?

Someone who at a relatively decent level (40 or higher), but who KEEP PLAYING SLIMES AND REALLY WEAK NORMAL RARITY MONSTERS.

Geez... I thought it was great there was a level 62 on the team today. All the bastard did was keep playing slimes.

EDIT: YESSSSSSS. On the final 10th turn in the Million dungeon, managed to get a Lucky 7 (five 7 cards). That put me over the 500 score, and got me just enough black medals to get the cat girl.

Golden Week gacha special featuring a new monster (the second 30 cost gacha mon in the game) Succubus. Maybe you'll get lucky?!

Later this week will be another rerun of the very first event dungeon, Tiny Devil [R/L]ino, who is arguably the only other black medal redeemed monster worth owning. Definitely spend time bulking out on Million Nyanko while you still have the opportunity, as any event dungeons from here on out are far less forgiving and rewarding.

So I've noticed, mostly in PvP, that my cards are majorly outclassed by the people that rolled SS rares. I only got S and rares from my rolls and noticed that my rare ones are capping out early with poor stat gain, leading me to focus more on the S and welfare SS cards. Now I had some questions to decide on how frugal I am going to be with my stones going forward: Of note, I'm a pure non-IAP player that is enjoying PvP and will not IAP any time in the foreseeable future.

1) After the initial influx of stones at the start, how often do we get stones from the devs? Coming from puzzle and dragons, it's really the only reason I can keep playing that game with my very lackluster rolls during godfests and other things.

And

2) If things are really bad on my end, will I basically be able to slowly dig my way out of my terrible luck by sheer perseverance? Or if I lack the strong cards early on from all those free stones, am I so far gone that I'll just be trying to catch up to everyone but never get there?

Judging from what info I have and what has been said in this topic, events will give me a chance at some SS rare cards, so I may be able to survive on those for awhile and that club bad girl dungeon could net me a few SS cards as well, given enough time. So I can see a few goals I can set to keep myself playing this game if the worse does indeed comes to pass. Am I missing anything in my novice analysis, DPgaf?

Even though DraPo seldom has events compared to PAD, I think the stones you get as random login bonuses, random dungeon rewards (yes you read right), server catastrophes, and first-time evolution rewards put the game at least at parity in terms of free IAP.

You're pretty correct with your analysis; speaking as someone who had rotten luck with the REM starting out, being a smart player with a weak deck trumps being a terrible player with a whale deck any day in PVP. I do find the advertised rates for SS rares to be accurate, it's just... extremely streaky at times. With time your deck will get there.

I was surprised by a stone dungeon reward the other day.

Is there a point at which it's better to roll for a single colour rather than saving 40 stones? I've managed to fill my deck with S+ and SS+es, but my red is twice as powerful as green and blue. Before the weekend my green was terrible, but I did a few rolls of the green gatcha and luckily got a Unicorn on the first pull, followed by two S healer girls. I've got three red SS, 2 green, 1 blue. Would I be better off single pulling now?

Emalde

Once you have 3 gacha-rolled SS in a single color, it's probably time to start making single pulls, though it's still not that big a deal. If you've reached 4 gacha-rolled SS in one color though, it's definitely time to start single pulling.

For any prospective whales, the OST and Artbook both cost about $50 USD each after conversion and shipping maybe, and offer a pretty rad red or green monster. Heh (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜

Do your cards get a larger stat boost if you equip it with a sub of the same color? I'm using subs that boost the main card's attack type, but I'm not sure if I should be trying to match the color as well.

Nah, color doesn't affect the stat boost, just Level/Cost/matching skill icon.

Good luck equipping the rest of your deck?

It's not so bad if you only got SS cards on one out of three 40 stone gacha rolls :'(

That and unlocking dungeon levels for extra cost.

There's plenty of room.

Dorapo is down for maintenance again.
New event dungeon up tomorrow.

All contending for my limited stamina pool :(

Million Nyanko event is closing up. Better get a couple more levels out of it while you still can!

Coliseum score for today: 2/4

I wanted to finish up the Million event and cash out all the points. Going to sit on them till I get those evo mats to uncap my whole team.

I also ran the new event and it was a real ball buster with two computers in the party. One-pairs and heals/shields going to CPUs everywhere, never mind getting knocked out as the boss is at 10%, I think I'll just hang out in the 4* dungeon instead of the 2nd tier'd one.

And just so I'm clear, because of how bad my rolls normally are, when the gacha button on the main menus is yellow
tAWmHmF.png
we got better rates on SS? Or at least an event is happening with the gacha? Because I don't want to TOUCH that button till I'm ensured the maximum amount of salt from a pull.

Gold Gacha button just means that there's an event going on. In recent months it means that there are nine hand-picked mobs (three each color) that have a greatly increased chance of getting pulled. They're all pretty strong mobs this weekend so feel free to hate yourself without abandon.

2/2 in Colosseum today. I should probably be farming the collab before it ends...

Is Rino, the new card in the medal shop worth getting?

Lino is a solid active card for red, and a very good sub card in general (20% damage against non-"Girl" type monsters AKA most of the game). Definitely worth picking up, if only for using her as a sub card later on.

Even if you don't specifically want her, this is a rare instance of an event rerun not being complete garbage. Even the easier tiers reward >1000 points, which makes grinding out black medals and dragon medals much easier. So definitely spend some time on the event.

Anyone know the purpose of the bikini card you can pick up in the current Event Dungeon? It seems to have no max level, but leveling it up doesn't change any stats except the sub skill?

Edit: sorry, just no max level. Dunno where I got the sub skill thing from...

The swimwear is all meant to be for easy-access sub equipment. You need 12 of each basic bikini to create the SSS form. All of these effects only work if the card itself has "Girl" (女の子) in the type list.

Red: Damage of the card increases (10/15/20 %), but the amount of damage you take is increased by 10%. This is middling at best, as 10% is a very large number that often means the difference between life or death on a lot of high tier dungeons.
Blue: Skill Boost. (5/5~10/10~15 %) (not sure on those numbers yet) increase. This is probably the most useful card for Skill-Link type cards, like Ifrina/Peridot/Undine.
Green: Damage/Status Reuduction. (1 & 1/ 1 & 3 / 3 & 6 %) reduction to damage and being inflicted by status chances respectively. This is way too expensive for that meager amount of reduction.

So, after two weeks of playing Dragon Poker, here are some of my impressions. This is coming from someone who played a lot of PAD for over a year. In also writing this on mobile, so errors may be prevalent.

Language barrier aside, the game starts newbies off well off, with a lot of stones readily available and many more theoretically available through evolving new cards. At the same time, getting good rolls are doubly important, since ss cards can provide a huge boost to stats over other cards, much more than in PAD. While rerolling can be an option, it is somewhat hard to do. You are better off just rolling again when you hit 40 stones.

The game play of making poker hands is fun, and there is more depth to it with managing the sp gauge and learning when to use support skills.

So, I'm really enjoying it, and will keep playing it, along with PAD. Apparently new players can get ss cards when they start now, although I don't know how good they are. I was fortunate to start when I did though, the nyanko collab provided a huge boost to leveling that cannot be overstated. With the collab ending a couple days ago, new players will have a slower time leveling.

Since the cards have no max level (I think), since leveling up doesn't change any actual stats on the card, is the only purpose of leveling up the card to increase the parameter bonus when its equipped? Someone mentioned that its only the level of the card that affects the parameter bonus.

So apparently they changed the monsters you can pick as starters to ACTUAL SS MONS:
[11:25:04] <Oceanbound> phoenix, buffalo, flame lord, lapis, lance, aqua lord, wolf, ranmaru, dryad

This pretty much changes "yeah just pick whatever it doesn't matter in the long run" to "there are only two optimal choices".

Top Tier: Lancelot (if you like big damage), Dryad (if you like big heals)
Endgame Usable: Phoenix, Buffalo, Lapis Lazuli, Ranmaru (may upgrade to Top Tier once he gets a GOD evo)
Z Tier: the shitlords, wolfboy

Correct. That's fairly important because if you are getting less than a 20% parameter boost from a 20-cost card, it's not doing you any favors.

This hasn't happened quite yet but is upcoming very shortly, so if anyone is reading this and expecting to start the game, I'd say wait for a day or two.

Eh, too bad, would have been nice to have an extra SS monster for some stats but I'm satisfied with the last collab tossing us all kinds of EXP and skill ups. Emalde, wanted to thank you for the voice pack video. Was a day late for me since I already grabbed Rino's and I'm enjoying her pack a lot more then her sister's thanks to the video.

And speaking of late, I got a Royal Straight flush a week ago. That was pretty awesome, pushed me into the 600 point tier for more black metals.

Also, is there a cap to the pal point things? I'm sitting on 42,000 points and I'm really curious how much higher it'll go before it caps out.

This might possibly be the worst weekend fest we've had in a while. It's so bad that I would tell you to not even bother making a 40 roll this weekend unless you desperately need to. The two not-new monsters in blue don't even have GOD evos, and neither does one of the green. The selection in red is pitiful, Nana is the only real choice there as the other two are just stat sticks.

Not sure what the two new monsters do yet, but chances are they aren't worth rolling for just because of the chance of getting saddled with the other lame monsters available.

E: SS starters have been enabled. It's actually just a new player promotion. Between today and June 7th, any new accounts can redeem one of the 9 new starters like this. You pick it up from the gift box on the home screen.

5 is Lancelot, the best attacker out of the pool there.
9 is Dryad, the best healer out of the pool there.
You could make a case for picking 1 (Phoenix) as that is also a healer, but most people will argue that due to Phoenix being part of one of the largest super fusion pools in the game, it's not worth it at all.

My current lineup. Quite weak in blue right now. Also you guys weren't kidding, upgrading is a lot harder now you can't just run Nyanko over and over.

It's a fair bit harder, but the event with Lino is actually pretty okay once you've cleaned out the rewards and are just grinding points for the feeder roulette.

Gem & Girls will be acceptable this month since the capture rate on marons is 3x, but is still much slower than Million Nyanko, and wont offer skill levels in the process (and thus skill levels become a much lower priority and your overall strength progression slows that much more significantly)
