Wife: What's going on? Why are you so excited?

ME: It's a movie from Japan based on an anime series about a tofu delivery boy who's dad teaches him to race in cars kind of sideways.

Wife: Oh...

Maximum justice!

Damn, Beavis, you're messed up.

edit: You jackmeat, I thought this was game footage at first and I got all excited. WRONG FORUM BUCKO.

Very very old dude like sometime last year old, but at least you're now aware and excited for the movie.

The only Japanese person in the movie is the one playing as Mogi.

Really? How on earth did this slip by me?
Are you sure?

All the actors (except that Suzuki san) are Hong Kong actors, the director is Hong Kong, the show in the capture is from a TV channel in mainland China, the people are speaking Mandarin.

Yeah, it feels a bit weird hearing Chinese instead of Japanese.

Yeah I'm not kidding bro, it's really old now...

Apparently, the Director and Producers wanted to do this originally in Japan but the Goverments in Japan said 'No'. Therefore they had no choice but to go elsewhere and do it instead.

Personally I am looking forward for the movie, I'm not expecting it to be a steller (maybe it due to some of the casts that I don't like) but we'll definitely have to see just how good they really are.

Lastly, 'yes', I am a definite Initial-D fan! Takumi, Ryosuke and Keisuke are such DONS!!! Did you see the last race with Takumi vs the hand of god driving the cappucino in 4th Stage? It was awesome, Takumi had to thank his lucky stars I tell you that! I even have most of the OST too!

As long as it's full of drigting I don't care!
Isn't it shot on location? It looks to be.

What do you mean by "isn't it shot on location"?
Initial D is based around real roads in Japan. All the stages reflect real life roads.
I used to have a link but have lost it since. Anyone still have it? There were videos of people driving real cars and all kinds of amazing stuff...
:D

Edit: Here!

I meant are you sure it's really old?
:)
(And it's in Cantonese)

The actors speak Cantonese, but the show in the capture is in Mandarin.

I am not quite interested about this movie I don't like most of the actors in the cast.

BTW, I live in Hong Kong.

Just had a chat with a friend of mine about this. We are kung-fu geeks so our slant might be biassed but he said, "Made in Hong Kong? Great! The Chinese are better at making movies in general than the Japanese anyway!" I have to agree.

Also, does anyone know if it is shot on location?

the japanese make some shitty movies, but when they are good they are the best.

hk film is mostly shit, all the time. That is unless you like action movies. So this could be entertaining, but im not counting on it being very great.

As long as it has a lot of Japanese cars from the mid 80s to the present day doing a lot of drifting, that's all I really care about.
Oh, and some tits too.

Wrong forum :lol

I saw the preview teaser yonks ago and it made me a little excited, heck it's being done by the guy who did Infernal Affairs so that has to mean something.

Well, if you meant if the shooting was on real locations in Japan like Akina then I've already answered that question in my post above. If you meant in terms of other locations then the answer is 'yes'.
