All this talk about Link becoming more of a pretty boy makes me wonder where the hell you people have been hiding since 1996.
This is the warm-up game to next year's Nintendo Musou, right?
Nintendo fans discovering boobs for the first time up in here
Agreed, Link looks like Link, just that.
I'll give that too you for two out of three, but the short fat one looks like a Zelda character as much as anything could.I think Impa's SS design is much better. There are a lot of borrowed elements, but some elements seem random. The baddies are maybe the most generic fantasy villains you can have.
It's subtle, but this is definitely the most effeminate version of him yet. Higher eyebrows, more oval shaped face and that slight bit of makeup on his eyes all leads to the bishoujofication.

Really love all of the character designs so far and I cant wait to see more. Impa looks really damn cool.

Ironically the wizard thing does look the best. Not of fan of evil sexy witch with leg tattoos and angry anime guy with red hair.
Here's hoping Zelda U has designs more in that vein than this... thing...
The art direction is a lot better than I thought it would be. Hopefully this will turn out to be one of the best in the genre!
Also please be a playable character ;-;
You DO realize Valga is obviously based off of Volvagia, right?
So basicaly .... Link ?

I thought it was the opposite. They gave him a bigger nose to unpretty him because pretty characters didn't fit Nintendo at the time.Back in the N64 days, they had to "pretty up" Link in Ocarina Of Time because one of the dev's wives complained that none of the Nintendo characters look pretty (so far the myth)
I think creating a more feminine/pretty version of Link might have some small impact of some people

Shoujo manga and anime of the decade was characterised by big noses (see avatar), although you can also make the argument that the nose made it easier for Link to have a distinguishable face considering the amount of polygons available for him at the time.I thought it was the opposite. They gave him a bigger nose to unpretty him because pretty characters didn't fit Nintendo at the time.
She's not the main villain, she's just brainwashed and crazy. I assume she'll become playable after you defeat her, which could happen pretty early in the story. She most likely will be. I'd imagine it'll be a case of beating the story mode to unlock her.

You know, I don't think Shia's cleavage or exposed skin is the problem I have with her, it's her outfit. Her outfit is not practical at all; the only purpose it serves is to accentuate her cleavage. The two TP characters who keep getting brought up as a means of a counterargument (Telma and Iza), both do indeed have a lot of cleavage, but neither of them fight or wear armor. Their clothes are just regular everyday clothes, as opposed to Shia whom is wearing armor that in no way could be practical in battle. Also, I don't think boobs work like that, seriously one wrong twist to the right or left and suddenly this game would be rated M.
The only Zelda characters who I feel you could make a convincing argument with are the Great Fairies. However, I've never perceived their nakedness to be sexual in nature, but rather a means of further establishing their ties with nature.
I concur. The darker skin-tone of SS Impa works better in my opinion, and elements like the generic slash over her eye (which pays no homage to the Sheikah symbol) feel like they were added randomly.

Agreed. Really not liking the character designs or plot of this game, tbh. I'll probably skip it.
They probably just gave her cool looking armor just because. I feel sad because its a game. Shouldnt this be able to happen in a fantasy game ?You know, I don't think Shia's cleavage or exposed skin is the problem I have with her, it's her outfit. I'm not sure what you mean. It was announced just a few months ago and will be out this year and its release has nothing to do with Zelda U.Yeah, I'm not sure about getting this either. I'm still waiting, but overall the game still feels pretty meh. Kinda angry it's taken so long to release, as that 200% confirms Zelda U is still pretty far away. I really wasn't expecting to be released soon, but there was still that lingering strand of hope.
It's based on Link's OG design:Ehehe never saw this. Its pretty cute, from what i can see looks like an old time puppet
It's a shame they never did more with this interpretation of the character.

Well yeah it can happen in a fantasy game, I just feel that because of her outfit she doesn't mesh well with the Zelda series. All three of the new characters, Impa to slighter extent, and even some of the areas stand-out like a buch sore-thumbs. Basically, the designs just do not mesh well at all.
