Interesting. So what's your take on Sony's E3 press conference time? Must be all doom and gloom hoping nobody notices it.
I understand where you're coming from. But the only people who even care about this teaser is people like us and if it's bad news we won't forget about it over the weekend. We never do.

Visuals look stunning but the game looked pretty awful last time they released some video. I hope to be impressed this time round.
Not necessarily. There's typically a Playstation stream going on Friday at 4 PM anyway. Lately it's been Towerfall, I believe. I assume this will just take the place of that normal stream. Or maybe they'll have a short segment showing this and then get back to the normal stuff.
If it's bad news, I don't think they cover that in a live stream. This is probably just a teaser for what we'll see at E3.

Come on you are better than this. E3 won't have overlapping conferences. Everyone knows that people will be watching no matter what so the time of day doesn't matter. Friday afternoon before a holiday isn't really the time that a company announces a significant achievement.

If Sony are rolling this out in the same way they have DriveClub then we'll probably see a gameplay trailer with a release date today, along with some previews. Then in the weeks up to E3 we'll get some new B-roll footage and developer interviews via the PS Youtube channel.
Perhaps the Sunset Overdrive thread is better suited to your tastes.
I wouldn't read much into this. I don't think we're going to see much. I think it's just a way of keeping the game in the minds of people. Maybe they're prepping us for a big blowout at E3 on The Order news.
Even if they use the same old gameplay as we all know from other games, that still does not mean the game will suck. They showed so little.
TR uses old gameplay, and it was awesome bacuse the whole package was balanced to be great. Same goes with new Wolfenstein, which gives me soooo much fun these days.
RAD needs to show more, they need to showcase charachters, world, scope of the game, and more gameplay. And in the end, even if they dont show as much as we want them to, end product can still be great. There is something to be said for a game PR cycle that does not spoil entire game.

They prepare the footage and deliever it, it's up to Sony to decide when and why to use something.
It could have been a rather quick decision to put up some footage after all the MS news lately.

Oh I have my skepticism, but mostly about why they are showing this now as opposed to E3. I just think reading into the timing of today's twitch stream for them trying to fly under the radar with a mediocre update is a bit much.
They are obviously hyping it up, so hopefully it delivers.
on the west wing they said the government should always release bad news on friday because no-one watches the news on friday night or reads the papers on saturday (they wait for sunday) so you can sneak it out
but i think the opposite is true in videogames, which get discussed online and for fun (as opposed to work in following politics). if you announce bad news on a friday, nothing happens till monday morning at the earliest so it dominates the vacuum over the weekend, then gets another burst on monday morning when oulets write opinion pieces about what this meeeans

Devs constantly talked about that they will increase the visuals as time go by. E3 and Feb videos were "early code".
Indeed. Even COD:AW got "leaked" on Friday and was scheduled to be unveiled Sunday.
That being said, I'm expecting the worst and believe this game is getting delayed to 2015.
