New subs, same apps. I'm guessing there's been a hold-up with Bethesda being granted access to Interplay's original subs.
Interplay's publishing contracts expired. Bethesda's owned the Fallout IP for a decade now and time finally ran out.

I would like that. For me the Original Steam version has broken colours and videos as well as resolutions, while modding fixes has been unsuccessful. Meanwhile the GoG version runs absolutely flawlessly and looks great. It's really annoying

Pft. XD; A big part of it is that I've gotten more into watching films in the last four years. I've probably seen more films in the last four years than I've seen in the rest of my life combined. But most of the time when I watch movies, they're either horror films, films I see with family or friends, or the occasional other film that catches my attention. But mostly horror movies.

In every DRM-related thread there's always someone who attempts to argue that Steam is DRM even after it's pointed out that Steam does in fact offer DRM-free games. Some apparently find it hard to accept that literally the only difference between a DRM-game on Steam and such a game on GOG is that with Steam you're required to use the client to obtain said game whereas with GOG you can use the browser of your choosing.
If it weren't for Age 2 HD, AoM HD and RoN HD using Steamworks, the fact that he said that in response to someone pleading for a GFWL 2.0 would make me uneasy.
I think people are just too lazy to type 'Steam is DRM for 99.9% of the available games'.

I just think it's a misconception, and an understandable one at that since the vast majority of games on Steam are tethered to the client. There's a difference of a just a few characters between "Steam is DRM" and "Steam can be DRM" and only one is accurate.

I think the smart strategy for Microsoft is to put a decent number of quality games on steam first. For example something like a Halo.
Then they can get a lot of people buying/playing it and of course never, ever port those games to linux. This keeps a big chunk of customers tied to their platform and leaves them free to create GFWL2 however they want.
I watched The Grand Budapest Hotel and it was indeed fantastic. The only issue I had was with Saucy Ronan being in it, as I just associate her with JaseC and it kept taking me out of the film.
