Not that good a trailer, especially considering the quality we usually get from mgs. Song was the worst.

Yeah, i'm surprised a lot of people liked it. Well, it's not bad, but imo probably one of the weaker MGS trailers. I'm really not used to a Kojima MGS trailer where there's barely any voiceovers and no crazy action scenes. Graphics are nice though, despite the last gen models.

I couldn't help but think of the Plant from MGS2 as well.

Clearly this means we're actually playing as Solidus Snake. /s

Calling it - the emphasis that keeps being put on various masked soldiers being bad-ass are the same guy and he'll unmask to reveal the face of Solid Snake and everyone will be oh my gawwd

But because SS would be the same age as Eli - the young adult Snake will be Solidus, voiced by David Hayter.

Taken from telegraph.co.uk:

Although decades of psychotherapy, tai qi and Aztec war dancing have made Oldfield a calmer man than he has ever been he is still making sense of his demons. One song on the new album – Nuclear – is about Oldfield’s conviction that he is still living with the fall out of his grandfather’s traumatic experience in the First World War. “I never knew him,” he says, “So I hired a company to find out about him. It turned out he was a great character before the war but came home a very different man. My mum was one of ten or eleven kids and all the children born after the war had problems like hers. I wanted to see if I could spread my senses in the place he was. I travelled around Ypres and the battlefield museums and I saw the graves of his regiment: the Royal Munster Fusiliers. And I could feel it. Still there. It’s a blessing and a curse for those of us who have this extra sensitivity.”

That's interesting, the song itself seems to be somewhat thematically linked to TPP.

I liked the trailer to be honest, but it wasn't exactly tearjerking as Kojima implied. Still very excited about the game.
