I just saw a few leaked photos of the new Manchester United 2014/2015 jersey design. I dont want to post pics because I am not sure if it is a final design (I hope not). If you google.. I am sure you can find it.. but all I have to say is that it is fine time for a logo redesign from Chevy/ Chevrolet. That logo is fucking hidious.

The kit does look like shit, but not because of the Chevy logo.

When I see the Chevy logo I think:

1. Got bless America
2. Like a rock
3. Bob Seger evrythang

Here it is for non-Americans and communists:

Chevy is a sponsor of Man United?

Do they even sell many Chevys over there? I thought they brand most of their stuff as Opel over in Europe.

...hate me...
You're right. At the fricking least, flatten it out!

The wordmark itself isn't half bad, if they could use just that, the shirt would look good again.

So I can deal with most soccer logos... however I will say that some are way over done. This shit is awful. I dont like it at all. That silver ring around it???? That fack ass reflective coloring on the yellow/ gold part. The name under the logo that tells me for a second time who the sponsor is.

I honestly expect shirt sales to be way down, which I hope for fuck's sake forces them to negotiate some type of alteration for the jersey at least. I mean it sucks enough to be stuck with Chevy, but at least allow the logo to be only the outline or something flat and done in appropriate coloring. Seriously do not know who would buy that travesty.

agree 110%. I want to support them because they are my team and I am excited to see what the new year, new coach and new players (we have been busy this off season) have in store for us... but this shit is soooo beyond ugly. The gold has to go. The silver lining has to go, and the name under the logo has to go.

Holy crap that looks awful if they actually decided to go with the faux-metal look.

This one I found on Google looks a bit better, but not by much really.

Shall we make this thread into a "Shirt design ruined by sponsors"?.
The "Big black box syndrome" because we haven't got a single creative bone in our bodies. And I'm not even a Blackburn fan.

Agreed. Chevrolet cars look like they've had there badge removed. And it just looks plain odd A5 paper size on your chest. Their logotype looks great though, should have done stuck with that.

That, or Rover. Keeping the dream alive.

Should've just used the text like most other clubs do or at the very least make it all the same colour or just use the outline, would look better imo

Looks ugly as shit.

Should just be the word or have a small outline of the logo in white (like when we had Vodafone).

Crazy that they're paying us so much for this, no one gives a shit about Chevrolet here in Europe.

It doesn't help that the only Chevy branded cars you seem to see in the UK are rebranded Daewoo Matiz's.

A premium brand for a premium club.

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. Buncha drama queens in this thread.

Though I'm puzzled as to why Chevy is throwing away money by sponsoring European football teams.
