Several wins in a row in top 3. No god damn purple. *sigh*

I can't even find a green auto-rifle. Been hand cannoning people. It's got surprising decent hip fire accuracy.

Well, nice sash emblem and dye anyway....

the one you start off doesn't cover anything. It made me confused when i first started playing cause it just zooms in on the titans ass.

ah I see. lol
does anyone turn on Autolook Centering?

lol. and anyone using PS Camera to chat? lol I was yelling only to realise.. okay no one hears me cause there's no one on my Fireteam (although there are others in my instance)

I don't get it though. if we are in the same instance but not on the fireteam, what happens? if they clear the mission before me? my game ends too?

So do you just not see the exo mouth color in game?

I chose blue, but it looks black whenever I'm in the tower.

edit: duh, only see it when you speak. Makes sense.

I'm not used to multiplayer FPS shooter games, so this is quite an eye opening experience for me. Right now, everything seems so MMO-ish. As in everything is so inconsequential, and the world just feels dead because it's full of all these quiet anonymous people. There aren't any real characters. I kinda miss the single player experience. Unfortunately, I've been playing either exploration or the crucible because I've been waiting for my friend to download this thing, so we can play together. I'm sure it'll get better once I get to play some co-op. Right now, exploration and crucible are a bit of a bore. It's all so repetitive.

Wait... Didn't gear stats always carry over into PvP in the Alpha? Did they mix things up for the Beta, or was it never actually like that?

Also, I just have to say again: Bungie skyboxes are so amazing.

There is way too much shit in PVP that can insta-kill you.

So goddamn frustrating...
It is a bit frustrating, but I've learned to try to mitigate my one hit kill deaths by staying at range when I can, good communication, and keeping an eye on the super indicator when I engage with someone.

Agree. Not really digging the mutliplayer, or see myself playing it that much.

The "campaign", or core game though is fantastic. Cant wait to be able to go to all of the other planets and moon.

The friends/party system needs to be better. If some guy on my FL is doing the Devil's Lair and he is matchmaking by himself, I should be given the opportunity to join him painlessly. Same goes for every other mode.

Man I really want to see what happens when you watch the hive and the fallen fight at skywatch for a while....

To bad that's hard to do when they're a bunch of other players always trying to kill them off >_>

Actually does that even happen in the beta? I know it did in the alpha because bungie tweeted about it. Can someone who tried this confirm maybe? They've been fighting for a while and I feel like i'm wasting my time lol

That hand cannon is kinda ugly, but the double wolf emblem is frickin sweet.

Yeah I kinda have to agree. I like the multiplayer to a degree, but it just seems there are so many variables to being successful in it. Almost wish the was no supers and a more standard loadout all players get. Rely more on skill than loadout and one shot crap. I still think it is fun, but it's not a true "competitive multiplayer" because winning a battle does not always = skill.

It's so weird to think that the same company that did multiplayer matchmaking for Halo 2 and Halo 3 also made Halo: Reach and this. In Halo 3, I'd occasionally have the issue of terrible teammates, but Reach and Destiny have brought it to a whole new level. It also doesn't help that half of the weapons in this game have a network delay to verify that they connected. There are times when I think I've dodged a Golden Gun shot only to disintegrate a whole second after it appeared to whizz by my head.

I'm done with PvP for the beta unless I get into a party. It's apparently impossible to get teammates that have more brain cells than the ten thumbs that they play with.

Didn't get to comment on the Mars PvP map earlier, but holy crap that map is a Control nightmare. B and C are so close to each other, you can practically ignore Zone A. First match I had was a complete disaster that three people on my team quit before I left. Won a few matches on the map after that debacle. I will say that that playing map did give me a chance to use more of my equipped shotgun, and that thing is a beast.

People are still walking up to him, maybe they are just hanging up there with me, because they don't know if we will see him again. I hope so, I'm grinding a ton of glimmer tomorrow

They already confirmed that it's happening again at 2PM and 7PM Pacific tomorrow.

Played the Alpha. Hated PVP.

Playing the Beta. Love PVP now.

Some general on the fly tips that might help some of you out:

- If you crouch, you appear on the enemy's radar less. And since this is such a frantic deathmatch PVP, sometimes crouching by a doorway or in a corner, taking a breath, and allowing some crackfriend to run into your base like a maniac is the smart way to go.

- A lot of people hate the moon because of the overpowered vehicles. My question is: why are you going outside in the first place? Two of the three capture points (A + C) can be accessed by running back and forth underground in the compound. Never have to deal with a tank or armed sparrow (unless they're at one of the capture points). If you can continually capture these two points, your team or at least you should do well. If you need to get to point B, you can go in between A and C and sparrow it over there. Minimal time spent outside, no time in the views of gunners.

- Learn to recognize when the other team is most likely huddled together at a capture point. Use your grenade (or special if you're not a Titan or Warlock). Get a ton of kills.

- It's okay to slow down when someone's coming toward you on your radar. More than half the time, they're just sprinting going toward the next capture point. Analyze your surroundings (are there multiple levels?), prepare yourself for which doorway/entryway they're going to come through. More often than not, you'll get the kill.

- If two or more of your teammates are trying to capture a point and there's at least one enemy in the immediate vicinity, don't go into the capture radius with them. One grenade or special could kill you all, so sometimes it's best to keep a little distance. The enemy or enemies will likely be focused on your teammates in the circle anyway, so you have free range to do some damage.

Shit is fun!

I can't decide if the Moon sucks or I just suck at it. I always do my worst in that level....

You have to rank up. Get to Rank 1 of the iron Banner and buy them at the vendor.

Wish someone explained that to me earlier. =/

Ah, thanks! And yea i guess its too late for me :/

Edit: looks like the event will be back! So theres my chance again.
