Graces f.

Believe it. :p

YAAAS! The story was boring, but some of the characters were good and the battle system was really enjoyable especially once you ramped up the difficulty. Hubert and Cheria used to be really fun to play with also, everyone had pretty great movelists except for maybe Pascal.

Yo, how about a fixed and updated Grandia 2 on Steam? It already has a PC version and everything...

Really? That would be something great! I loved Grandia 2

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I dids it.

I can't get into Tales games anymore. Finished Abyss back in the day and kind of liked it but I still have copies of Versperia and Xillia and just.. nope. Can't do it.

I'd rather have this
JzwIv0f.jpg

And a PC version of that game exists so they'd just have to work on getting it running on modern systems.

I bet even if BoF V was released as a PC game today it would be recieved quite well. I't a great game, people just expected something else.

how about Grandia 3 though

that game has like the best battle system

Symphonia is also overrated and not really that great. I played the HD version on ps3.
I'm just talking about semi-realistic things. A port of a game that old probably isn't feasible. For Symphonia, the HD version is based on the crummy PS2 version... Depending on your issues that could be the cause. Unless it's the story or VA. :p

Lunar Silver Star Story Complete got a PC release in Japan. TitS is basically Falcom's Game Arts JRPG, so why not?
Hmmmm, not sure how I'd feel about that. The Sega CD versions are better, in my opinion, but something is better than nothing.

Speaking in 2009 after the theatrical release of The First Strike, Makoto Yoshizumi, the publishing general manager for Namco Bandai, said that there was a possibility of sequels to both Tales of Vesperia and The First Strike, but as yet nothing has materialized.

I thought the Graces f story was fine. It's not like they pulled a Star Ocean 3 twist out of their butts or anything ridiculous.

*shrug*

I dunno...even if i played the original i'd still have the same opinion. Like 90% of the game is going to some random Desian base and Collete saying sorry. Let's also mention the terrible world map.

That feel when I buy a card and notice that I bought it from Rhaknar. Small world.

I may actually have to buy Fahrenheit on GOG for the first time. I'm getting tired waiting for it to come on Steam.

At the very least wait for a sale :/

Trails being the best seller on steam and gog is a sight to behold.
I hope Xseed is happy, Falcom will know this and say: look! they like our games, we should release EVERYTHING.jpg
dreams, dreams

I hope so. The more JRPGs that sell, the closer we get to the foretold future of Sega and Atlus the releasing the MegaTen franchise on PC.

I think Grandia II was released on PC, and I've heard good things about it. Wonder if it could ever see a Steam release. Also glad to see that Marco talked about it too while I compiled this post :p

Since we're talking about Tales of games, I don't think I can really say much other than Symphonia is the best I've played of them. Didn't have that much fun with its sequel, Phantasia, and the Abyss. I guess I'd buy Symphonia if it ever came to PC, but that's pretty much it.

Lunar Silver Star Story Complete got a PC release in Japan. TitS is basically Falcom's Game Arts JRPG, so why not?

Didn't know about this one. I'd buy it if it was ever localized.

This is my grievance as well. I suppose it'd sell on the basis of the added cutscenes, though The Silver Star seems to play better. Goes without saying that there'd need to be a new localization.

Breath of Fire IV on PC sounds interesting, but good luck getting Capcom to care.

Imagine getting to play Nocturne, or a Dungeon crawler like Strange Journey on PC! Sadly if it ever does happen we would probably only get new projects they work on, but I love SMT so much they can port it anywhere and I would probably buy it.

you break my heart.
Actually, how hard it would be rerelease BoF4 PC with some fixes, I wonder. That would be so nice to have on steam.

Tales of the Abyss is still my favorite Tales game. Probably in the minority there, but hey. And I got a Gamecube for Symphonia. Probably the only time I've bought a system specifically to play one game (though I eventually ended up finding some other GC games I enjoyed).

The UNDUB version with skits voiced was godlike.

Friendship is awesome.

oh my! someone agrees with me for a change (><)
ya, I would take Tales of Graces over it any day, dat graces battle system
I'd still buy it and even replay it, if it was to come to steam, any Tales game, in fact

you are my Tales bro from now on and until forever dot, you can have my sword, when you need it too!

Didn't see this until now. ♥

Alright, i'm done dropping #truthbombs

When i wake up i expect to win Marco's giveaway.

I looked around a bit and apparently it works.. okayish for some people with some compatibility settings? There's not a lot out there though.

You can " request" the game on GOG, which is probably the best way to get anyone's attention

But it's Cacpmpom, so it'll never happen.

mine too, only problem I had with it, it ran like shit, now if we would have it on PC and it could run smoothly and without constant loading... although, I still prefer gameplay of ToG to any Tales game to date.
And it is totally OT, as Tales aren't coming to steam ever, at least I don't see it happening.

Who are we kidding? It's a much slimmer chance with Bandai Namco re-releasing their stuff to Steam than other Japanese companies.

exactly!
well together with Konami.

It crashes for me constantly, granted I tried to replay it some time ago, already, also I know that any rerelease is out of the question, I still want it.

I'd like the Dragon Quest games on PC too. I don't care about X though.

At least the iOS ports are competent. Playing an official English version of SMT I was great, though I'd prefer it to be on a system other than iOS.

well together with Konami.

Speaking of which, I really hope that Konami announces a new Silent Hill soon, and that it'll be available on PC. The fact that only Homecoming is available on Steam is terrible.

It's really amazing how mismanaged if not downright suicidal Japanese companies are.
Each and every time some B-tier jRPG (no offense meant to Ghostlight, and I'm being generous here stating Idea Factory makes B-tier games) gets released on Steam it pretty much dominates the sales ranking for a few days with close to no advertisement.

How can you not take notice of that? Seriously...

I think that comes down to not really taking notice of Steam or PC in general.

Guilty as charged.

so, could you at least try to play Trails? just for kicks
accept the challenge, you don't have to finish it, it's a rather long game, although that shouldn't be a problem for you with 200 hours clocked in any AssCreed too!

Just woke up to see that the beta version of Steam has changed the category system to be like the old tag system? That took them quite some years to backtrack on that one.

Speaking of Ghostlight, I'm still waiting for Elminage Gothic. I hope it release by the end of the year.

It's definitely frustrating seeing Japanese companies practically ignore PC for mobile and handheld platforms. It's slowly getting better for PC as a whole though, there are more and more niche titles being localized in the future.
