Tank controls are removed?
You have a choice. You can use them or not.
Edit my bad was talking about controls!
Tank controls are removed?
Should've been over the shoulder also and implemented a cover system.
No.Tank controls are removed?
but but....
huh ?!
Tempted to edit the title again so it reads "Remaster" instead.
But we already have a RE4 HD Edition for consoles and Ultimate HD Edition for pci sort of think this is a precursor to an hd version of zero and updated re4. they may be testing the waters, the deals ran out at different times, or both, or neither.
It is a remake and thus should implement today's standards otherwise it's just broken gameplay with a nice coating.
The 3D models (characters, enemies etc.) are in 1080p on PS4/Xbox One, but the backgrounds are just upscaled from the Gamecube resolution. Try taking a picture in 640×480 and resizing it to 1920x1080...you get the idea...
they are, but they let you choose which way you want to cut it.
But they give you 4:3 option anyway
Pathetic cutting techniques to give you the illusion they're doing anything else than upscaling existing GameCube assets.
Should just be 4:3 and nothing else.

Is that analog stick image just telling us that they're still the same then?
Excuse my ignorance, just catching up on this thread.

Alright GAF, Resident Evil Remake bombed on the gamecube. We HAVE to make sure this one is a success.
Do the right thing and buy two copies at least

No, you can choose: tank controls or 3D controls.
You should add "w/ Pan & Scan support" to the title

I'm not putting in more effort into the title than Capcom did in this release.

Keep telling yourself this as you go to bed tonight, maybe you'll wake up not seeing the difference!bubububu ARTISTIC PAINT DAUBS FILTER
We can hope Capcom are listening and actually bother loading up the pre-rendered backgrounds on their old Windows XP pc's and bother to render them again in 1080pMaybe the pictures we are seeing now are a bad pictures and the Background in the final game will be better and true HD.... !?
We aren't going to call it REmaster?
Capcom just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the japanese public, after seeing those upscaled backgrounds, is not going to want to purchase this "Remaster" for either system, nor will they purchase any of Capcom's "remasters". This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Capcom has alienated an entire market with this move.
Capcom, publicly apologize and re-do those backgrounds properly or you can kiss your business goodbye.

Looks like a real remaster to me !
