I know :( I really hope it's from improper education and being allowed to teach their children horrible ignorant racist views. Cause then it would actually be fixable one day.

The thing is, they bring their kids up to follow the same views too for the most part. We pray for the next generation to get better but with teachings like so, I'm afraid it won't.

Yeah that's what I was saying. People have the right to teach their children that shit. I would gladly give up that right.

They just believe their own narrative instead of that of the eyewitnesses.

And I'd like to believe they'll be ashamed if the truth shows this to be an abuse of power/murder. But God knows they'll continue believing what they believe and rationalize it away. Because learning from your mistakes is just a lack of faith in the cause!

Do these people who are pro Wilson realize that they are unironically supporting execution and murder by law enforcement?

What is considered pro Wilson? I think it's entirely possible that the shooting was justified, but also that it's entirely possible that it wasn't, and that we don't have all the facts yet. I don't think that makes me pro Wilson or pro execution, though.

Then it's probably hasty to call him a hero when he may be a murderer. Which is what they are doing.

That doesn't make you pro-Wilson. No.

Okay, that's good. I didn't realize people were actually calling him a hero, that's fucked up.

Sorry. That was a bit of hyperbole. So far it's just signs of support and "blessed are the peacemakers". So only in the sense that "all cops are heroes". It hasn't hit Zimmerman levels of support.

I suppose they are protesting what they perceive to be media bias against Wilson, though it's hard to report his side when we haven't been given it.

There is NO conceivable way this shooting was justified. Multiple eye witnesses have stated that Michael Brown ran, then turned around and surrendered with his hands up in the air and was STILL shot. He was shot multiple times.

Just saw this on my Tumblr feed. https://twitter.com/TheEyeOfControl/status/501114222756253697

Unfortunately, you're correct. There's a Facebook group supporting the cop even though you'd think that most people would be a bit more bright than that at this point. (Found the link in the Reddit Live thread) - here's the FB group link. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Support-Darren-Wilson/1464514543811507

I mean, that's to be expected, isn't it? Considering this whole situation is happening because of an issue of racism, it's a given that there are plenty of racists on the other side that would support the active murder of Not Their Race. If 100% of the public saw eye-to-eye on this we wouldn't be having institutionalized racism in the first place.

It's sad that these protests exist, no doubt, but I'm honestly surprised the pro-Ferguson-PD crowd didn't come out of the woodwork until today. Then again, since they're not the actual subject of oppression they get to wait until a leisurely Sunday afternoon strolls along to parade around their ignorance at their convenience.

I guess what bothers me is this, let's entertain the notion this cop was scared, for just a minute. The dialogue wouldn't change to me.

Why the fear and escalation of violence against minorities? Particularly black men?

We need a national dialogue about representation of black people and how despite consistently being victims they're painted as "violent thugs", every last one of them.

What's up with the militarization of our police force? Why do we need riot gear fit for despotic regimes against a crowd who has the right to protest injustices? What does a curfew really do other than patronize a group trying to assemble for a cause?

Wow.

Speedline, you're a piece of shit. And I don't say that lightly.

I know we're supposed to keep on point here folks, but seriously, not one Bish ban gif?

Also, Im surprised Speedline didnt even try to justify his racism by digging himself deeper into the racism hole. he had the time.

Oh well, GAF rests a little more tolerant tonight.
