Knack, KZ:SF, Last of US:R, I:SS have sold over 1M+ units each at retail

TLOU: R and ISS deserve it. The others just benefitted from launch drought.

Also, wasn't Knack bundled with all PS4's in Japan during the Japan launch? That probably accounts for half of its sales right thurr.

Knack has a lot of potential, the game is fun but it has problems, one of them is being too simple, too long too.

I'd like to get a sequel for sure.

I loved Knack. I continued playing it even after getting the platinum. A very hard vampire Knack run is balls crushingly difficult but amazingly satisfying to pull off.

You can say the same about The Last of US and InFamous.

Also does 1M+ knowing the PS4 install base is good? Do we have numbers for PS3 launch games?
I think it's because most of actual games don't appeal to me but I would like to know if my perception of PS4 users don't buy that many games is right or wrong, thanks.

10% attach rate is great for anything without wii or Mario in the title

And so the sad, misinformed knack bashing continues. Game is fun, especially co-op

You are totally right, my daughter and I loved Knack....playing together couch co-op was a lot of fun...

I have no problem with people hating Knack..those that at least played it..but I bet if you looked at the trophies of many who bash it, they never ever played the game...

Knack was a decent first entry. I'd like a sequel. My son really liked it and if the game is offered on PS+, he'll probably make me play through it with him again (we borrowed it from a friend).

Demand is demand.

That people were willing to pay $400 for a console, buy their usual call of duty, AC, Need for Speed, and Battlefields, and still spend $40-$60 on Knack and Killzone isn't a testament to a "launch drought" effect.

Not to the same degree. TLOU:R in particular, has incredibly high quality that justifies the sales. Infamous is also a good game that deserves to sell well. Killzone and Knack, on the other hand, are widely considered mediocre games.

I haven't played Knack, but enough people on GAF like it to make me curious. Do I get it cheap now or wait for it's inevitable inclusion in PS Plus.

Knack wasn't that bad. I think it might have been better than Killzone. The catch is that it has to be played on hard. It is a whole different game when played on hard compared to easy. Easy is meant for literally 2 year olds. Hard actually takes decent skill and timing as 1-2 hits and you're dead.

Its only like 20 bucks so I'd say get it. Just make sure you play on hard and you'll probably enjoy it good enough.

I have been looking for something to play this week before Destiny comes out. Can't seem to find my first choice (RE Revelations) so I might go for this instead.

I'm in the happy for Knack boat. I welcome a sequel with more combat variety, and interesting platforming segments. I enjoyed the first would love to see them improve on it.

Man, that is one ugly ass character.

Great animation, though.

me and my buddy played knack co-op.....so many great moments during that playthrough, I really do hope a sequel is made.

Is it that bad? I haven't played it but I will when it's cheaper.

no its not, not even close. the game was boring to me, but it was fine for any non serious gamer, especially young kids. if there is a sequel i am pretty sure they will improve it significantly.

Knack as a franchise has a Red Steel-like conclusion written all over it. When the PS4 launched, people had almost nothing to play so they decided to pick up Knack because it had been jammed down their throat by the media and consumers wanted something to play on their shinny new system. So they bought Knack. "It can't be that bad right, It does looks pretty great graphically afterall!" I'm sure that is what went through most gamers' minds while waiting in line at the checkout counter with a copy of Knack in hand. But what they got was a medicore platformer for $60 that I'm sure most people regretted buying.

So even though you had a million+ consumers go out and buy Knack, most of those million+ were burnt by that experience and will not go out and buy a sequel. Even if the sequel received good reviews (similar to how Red Steel 2 did) it will be away from the spotlight, have bad word of mouth from the original, and have much stiffer competition. Knack 2 would be lucky to sell 300k WW.

But honestly, I still feel like I'm the only person who likes Shadow Fall post launch on this forum. Mine was a bundle copy though. Got the camera bundle.

GIVE ME MY KNACK 2. First game was pretty damn fun, albeit hard as fuck and with shitty checkpoints. Fix that for sure.

Shadowfall is not the way to handle the franchise for now on though, give me more Killzone Mercenary instead. Please no Shadowfall 2.

How about

The Knackinator

The Knackening

Knack Hard: with a vengence

Knacknado

Knack 2: Knack you, you motherknacker!

I personally enjoyed Killzone (coulda been better though) and Second son. I look forward to more titles. I will try knack one of these days.

I played Knack on hard at launch and loved it, all the hate has always cracked me up! Hopefully Cerny can expand on it for the sequel (if it happens).

I had much more fun with Knack than Killzone: Shadow Fall, now that was a disappointment ;p. Knack really needs to played at Hard difficulty for it not to be boring, though, normal difficulty was way too easy.
