God damn. I mean that. Gawd damn. That is pure sex for your eyes. I am uploading our Impressions/crashing video. There are parts, most, of the game that looks absolutely real.

Ohhhh I get it... For people who were wondering why I got the Deluxe edition for 75$ Canadian... The Horizon 2 VIP is 50% off for FM5 VIP members.
That would explain why VIP was $9.99 for me.

As for the Demo... I've only done the intro race to the festival in the Lambo and the first cross country race in the Evo. Pretty damn awesome! Driving through the fields with in-car view is nerve wracking when you don't know the terrain yet, particularly when I came over a hill and slammed right into a hay bail and launched it.

Any publisher that buys them up is in for a bargain. Great creative direction overall, technically proficient and churn out games very fast. Can’t believe they already have 5 years under their belt.

Well a couple $100m(maybe?) would go a long way with that $2.5B.

Drats. Every time I try to purchase something in Smartglass, after hitting the Buy or Get it Free button, I just see a spinning Loading display with an X to close.

Looks like I'll have to start the demo's download when I get home.

goddamn dat intro movie is sexy. Don't know who that voice over girl is, or how she looks like, but she can count to ten in my ears all the time.

Game is fun too. Not a big racing fan (I like them, but they're always low on my to buy pile) and I was planning to stick with Driveclub PS+ this holiday season and planning to get this on a later date in slower months, but now I'm in doubt. Might get in on release, and play it for a week till Alien and Middle Earth arrive :')

I really want to try this

But the fact that you can seemingly drive over any surface without even slowing down or anything just puts me off considerably. It bothers me greatly to see

Picked the Bowler for my starter car to be different, got different races to the guy who picked the Evo. "Extreme Offroad".

Guessing the RS3 gets different again.

Edit: Races seem the same, just different sub-set of cars.

First thing I did in the demo was SIMULATED steering, no assists.

The drifting and grip levels in this game, beautiful, once you get used to them you can take any corner with style, off-road grip levels with no TC will make you spin at high speeds, I was originally worried that going on mud would be a minimal effect.

Really solid demo, has online modes too once you beat the 3 or so races given to you.

So I got home, set up my thrustmaster tx458 wheel on my wheel stand while the game installed.

I sat down and started the game.
..........
I then turned off ALL assists and started a cross country race.....

Oh my God.

Oh my God.

SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!

My only fear about this game was that my wheel would be relegated to a poor vibration wheel but everything is there.

The wheel goes light when you take jumps or lose traction.

The vibration motors go absolutely flipping mental when off loading.

Hitting a bump jolts the wheel accordingly.

I've played this gAme about five minutes and it's an insta buy. No doubt.
very nice to hear about the wheel.

now if only my internet speed was faster.....

Guys, I just did a doughnut in the vineyard. I don't think a game has brought a smile to my face like that in a loooong time. :)

e: biggest problem is the generic white dude avatar in the car. that really isn't working for me.

Game is already providing you something that isn't real, might as well go all the way. Wouldn't be as much fun otherwise.

I didn't brake hard enough into a turn, slid into a group of trees and successfully navigated out of it unscathed. Felt GREAT!
