I guess my evening is going to have a lot of loading screens...

Maybe I can round up two people to do these missions tonight EST time.

I've got to get legendary weapons, I've had blue for far too long.

I am down after 6pm EST tonight.

Yet another "oh no, the filthy casuals will get good gear" elitist whiner.

Um?, I think you're reading between the lines a little too much, i don't care if people get legendaries or not, and i'll play with anyone regardless of their level or equips, just feels counter productive to go to all the effort if they're going to make things easier in future events.

Morning folks.

What's new? I'm at work so I can't log into Destiny :(. How are the Queen's missions? Also, what's the nightfall weekly and heroic weekly?

Also, just checked out Bungie's weekly update:

Huh. I thought the point of heroics were to be more difficult than normal missions.

Also, I like how there's no mention of the cave of wonders.
I assume they mean that they've removed SOME of the majors from the heroic missions.

I keep getting Mars or Venus for Queen, how did you guys get Earth?
Constantly abandoning and trying again from what I can gather.

It's that and the glimmer. I have a ton of glimmer and nothing to do with it. Let me buy materials with it for example, instead of farming for hours on end, doing the same loot runs over and over. I sure hope some of these problems are addressed. The game is fun but it could be so much better...

Yeah, glimmer is pretty disappointing after level 20. I used it all the time pre-20 to upgrade my gear from the vendors, but after you hit 20 anyone who's still selling weapons for glimmer are selling low-level trash. What else can you even use glimmer for at 20:

  • Low-level gear from vendors
  • Ships / Sparrows / Cosmetic items
  • Weapon/gear upgrades (these barely cost ANY glimmer)
  • Cryptarch

Aside from cosmetic items or the occasional 90-250glimmer upgrade fee for a weapon/gear piece, I think there should be some sort of exchange system. After all, you can exchange 50 spinmetal for Crucible/Vanguard marks.

And don't even get me started on the Cryptarch... :D

They mean they nerfed the glimmer farming spots. It's got fuck all to do with difficulty complaints. Storymode is laughably easy.

I never seem to have enough glimmer. :'(

Some MMOs make things easier/accessible as time goes on. The producer of FFXIV: ARR has a whole presentation on how it can be a net positive for players while not distancing anyone who has completed the content when it was harder.

Anyone down for the weekly heroic? I need to complete it for my exotic bounty. I'm level 27, I'm down with either doing it quickly at level 22 or going all in and doing it at 28.

Add me if you'd like. PSN: MiniMe637

I'm in the habit of using the items that increase glimmer gains, and I do a lot of farming so I haven't been in a low glimmer situation yet. Black wax idols before a farming run are crazy. Usually I can max out my glimmer (at 25k) in just over an hour or so by grinding hive kills with black wax idols.

Ammo consumables. That's what I use them for other than weapon/gear upgrades. That's pretty much it.

you guys make sure to pay attention to the damage modifiers during the queen missions. arc, solar, void, etc. boosts damage for your weapons... but also from them.

so me and my friend were doing 3vs 3..
he fell off the edge, and i revived him.. +50 points..

wait a minute? you don't lose anything for a suicide. So we could just keep jumping off and reviving.. pretty dumb.

8 times I get Mars as Queen mission in a row, I already beat the Black Garden! on Queen difficulty

Now Venus 4 times in a row, WTF!

I know there's sometimes a bounty that require you to do the final story mission on heroic. So there's that lol.

You get a decent pulse rifle at the end of the campaign if you don't already have a good primary weapon.

http://destiny.wikia.com/wiki/The_Stranger's_Rifle

you get a level 16 pulse rifle with reasonable stats until you find better, depends because once you hit 20 the loot cave will sort you out within an hour or two.

Thanks. I already have weapons better than that. I'm level 26. I guess I'll finish it eventually

I bought the sunbreakers from Xur and, as murphy's law would have it, saw every bleeding warlock walking around with them immediately afterwards. At least my Ulan-tan bond seems to be quite rare

This is why buying gear is no fun. Too bad most of us aren't lucky enough for epic loot drops :(

I had the easiest Queen mission yet my idiotic self died twice. Once because I pause the game to restock my primary weapon ammo and forgot to clear the enemy out beforehand. The second death was from fooling around with the Vex sniper. Whatever. Ended up getting the Queen's Guard Chest which I will dispose off later on since it's not as good as the one I have on.

Understandable, and I can see how people in their low 20s would jump at the chance to get nice upgrades and quite rightly so (also encourages people to make new chars on different classes).

I guess when i think about it further it does make sense and Im being a tard for moaning.

Do hope they increase the level cap / light level cap in future expansions though, and that third subclass box sure does look enticing.

Once I turned level 20 I put on a New Monarch mark and started earning NM rep. I have about 150 vanguard marks but I don't believe I can spend these anywhere except for the Vanguard vendor (which requires vangard rep and vanguard marks). If this is true, I might have to remove my NM mark so i can start leveling up my vanguard rep for a shot at these items, so my marks don't go to waste.

I bought them and I barely see any other warlock actually use Sunsinger with them equipped. It sucks they're not as rare to see, but at least I use them properly. Seing someone do a nova bomb with them on makes me laugh.

Yeah, I haven't farmed at all (about 10 minutes at the cave for novelty value). I'm just okaying the game normally, upgrading my gear and spending my glimmer to level the cryptarch. I do have some of the consumables, but because I never farm it seems a waste to use them.

Do the missions change depending on the planet?
I have no idea! At work currently, looking forward to trying this out later.

So it boosts both incoming and outgoing? Same for the heroics I assume?

Yeah, it's silly. I hate having to use Voidwalker to get that dumb "Kill 3 or more enemies with your super, 20 times" bounty. I feel like I'm cheating on my shiny fire gauntlets.
