Bose or Beats

Which would you choose, not only considering the sound quality, material feels of the devices, but also considering the latest behaviors by these individual companies.

I'm trying to decide between the wireless studios and the QC25. Any other recommendations would be helpful. Comfort and Bluetooth connectivity are definite pluses.

Neither. They sound good and are comfortable and neat looking, but way too expensive. Check out the GAF headphone thread ot

Are you looking for Noise cancelling headphones?

I say screw them all and get Monoprice's
These also come with the 2-port AUX airport adapter that lets you connect to inflight music/entertainment.

With the $200 saved, get a 3DS

This is a good answer. There are a number of other good brands out there.

Visit the HeadphoneGAF thread for all your headphone needs!

Yeah if you want a serious answer, which would require a back and forth PM me or visit this thread.
No you wouldn't. Bose shits on Beats and Skullcandy. The only thing better are Sennheisers and AKG.
In terms of sound quality you're pretty wrong actually, The Aviators beat anything Bose offers within the same price range.

I got some wireless bluebuds there great. I also find my Bose mie2's to be very comfortable and they sound good they make a great ps4 headset.

Both are overpriced for their audio quality, but Bose has excellent noise cancellation in nice form factors. I bought Bose QC15s last year for noise cancellation and they're very comfortable.

Yes. I also listened to the new oppo $1200 set and it's fantastic.

Any of those brands offer much higher quality headphones for less money than anything you'd get from bose or beats. If you're playing around in the $300+ range with those brands you have some really great options.

Neither. Go for AKG, Sennheiser, or Audio Technica if you actually want good headphones.

Dot. Dot. Dot. DOT.

Personally have great love for Audio Technica at the moment.

Got the open-back ATH-AD900 and my God, the directional accuracy, open soundstage and frequency response is amazing. And the lightweight frame and unique padding makes it feel like a feather is on your head... wearable all day long.

Not great for bass-heavy music though, IMHO. I'm planning on giving some Audio-Technica ATH-A900X's a try for that reason.

I was swapping between the Xbox One Stereo headphones and the other day and the ATH-AD900's. The XB1 headphone's are not bad for the price, but man.... they are so bad in comparison... wow.

Personally, I don't like the Sennheiser sound, but lots of people do. I prefer Audio Technica and Beyerdynamic (my DT 880s are my favorite headphones of all).

Bose and Beats are both horribly overpriced (the quality isn't awful, but the price/performance ratio totally is). The only reason you should ever consider Bose is if you need active noise-canceling cans (they still make the best), and unless your whole goal is to show off those ugly 'b's on the side of the cups, there's no sane reason to ever buy Beats.

If the quality difference between the Bose Soundlink Mini en the Beats Pill is any indication, for gods sake, take Bose!

The Soundlink Mini is blew my mind. Such full sound out of such a small body.

Then again, when it comes to head phones I'm not much of an expert. I would suggest you try both (go to a store that offers them at display). It's the only way I decide on audio stuff.

My brother has these. I listened to them this past weekend and they sound pretty incredible. According to him, they're one of the few high end headphones that are impedance matched for phones and consumer devices. I have a pair of Sennheisers and they are 64ohm, which is a mismatch for my phone and they don't sound as good.

There's never a good reason to buy Beats.

I've got a pair of Sennheisers on right now, and they sound fantastic. $100, and they sound like this? No way would I ever buy Beats. Or Bose.

I use these, they're perfect for gaming. And I'm not very big on bass, so I enjoy listening to music with them, too.
