Yes that's him if I remember correctly. Maybe I'm mistalking and that's not him that nominated some producers, I don't remember all this very well.

Yeah he was never credited as the creator of monster hunter. He got upgraded to producer after the series became popular and became a figure head for it. Benefits of being the CEO's son I guess.

Yep, Tsuyoshi and Funamizu created Monster Hunter. They've both left the company around 2005

I need to start playing fighting games again now that I'm feeling better... but first I need to finish bayo 2.

I think I'll pick up where I left off with UNIEL when I start back up :3

I'd like to play your Carmine again. Maybe the connection won't be so horrendous this time around!

I'd play more UNiEL if I could stomach netplaying it ;w;

I get to play it offline but the other locals are kind of stagnating right now.

He did not make Monster Hunter, but he become the head producer/director for the series for some unknown reason after 2nd G IIRC.

Haha I wish I could actually go out and play places honestly. There is a pretty solid Air Dasher scene between merced and fresno in cali but yeah stuck at home all the time :D

Dude it's been so long it will be like I got hard reset :p

Sigh. You guys.

Ryozo Tsujimoto has been with Monster Hunter since the FIRST game. He was the guy who did all of the network design/direction, you can even see his name in the credits for both the PS2 and PSP games. Anyone else who could've been producer after P2G either quit the company beforehand or were given (at the time) better positions.

Do you have any info on Capcom and what in gods name is happening in there? Not games wise but health wise cause as a company, its not failing by a lot but it is certainly not looking good.

I want to know how the new GG character plays. Unless he is going to be Hazama status and just be a cocktease the entire first game.

Of course I do, but my lips are sealed. :p There are always lots of exciting things happening, it just might not line up with the kind of games you like.

Yams, even if he does, did you think he can or wants to talk about it?

No no no, I wrote my post too quick, I mean in terms.... Why even bother... I won't ask again, don't want any trouble for him/her.

Are you talking about Sin or the other guy whose name I can't recall right now?

Capcom going full mobile is a very exciting time in the company. All hail the Apple overlords.

Leo looking like a good guy right now.

Maybe he'll get his shine on in the story and show up as DLC down the road

Never said he wasn't involved with the franchise just that he isn't the creator nor has he been the producer until it got popular.

Man, that is some thorough double speak. :p

It's not, really. This is a fighting game thread, so I don't know who's gonna be excited for games like Monster Hunter, Ace Attorney, etc. If you like those types of games too then yea you got a reason to be excited since 4U is coming, but if you're only into fighters then TBH I have nothing to say because I don't know what's going on.

edit:

My reply wasn't directed at you, it was directed at the people saying he became a producer/figurehead for an "unknown" reason or due to nepotism. He may be the president's son but IMO he put his work in just like everyone else on the team.

I said those things tho. I stand by them too. Although of course I can't prove it.

i think it's time for me to go triple monitor setup.

I wanna do that too. I already have an ASUS monitor I use for my PS3 that's on my desk, and if I cared enough I probably could. Would be nice to have a monitor for internet, monitor for streams, and monitor for programming/MS Word

I feel like those fights are really missing something. They leave me less hype compared to the VS series final bosses.

I think the problem with the BBCP one was that you fought it 3 times back to back with no changes. If it was just Ragna vs it once it probably would have had more weight.

It kinda didn't help that Nu was the last boss and it wasnt as well.

Well, for starters the VS series boss fights don't blow you away to the opposite corner of the now much much longer stage and have you run to the corner where they are again.

Is Impossible Dust and Jump Install still a thing in Xrd?
For Impossible Dust, you can hold forward after Dust to get something close to what you want to get with ID(your character will chase them by running forward and they will launch much lower to the ground... Pot can't do it, lol). Not sure if ID itself is in though.

:(

Can Pot do his double jumping Impossible Dust combos? At least in corner?

Didn't know that! Thanks for the clarification.

Hmm... smart move by Arc Sys. Instead of leaving an arcane input glitch in the system just make Dust more fundamentally varied.
