For fun, your choice of a Pokemon game on Wii U, but it can't be by Game Freak

Let's face it, Game Freak really is calling the shots these days (more so than ever it feels like), and they're very firm on keeping the main focus on handhelds.

Okay, fine, let's gather and speak up about some creative ideas on what Nintendo as a whole can do with Pokemon on Wii U.

I left out GF as stated above they will never do it (so no mainline GF game suggestions).

The common requests are Pokemon Snap 2 and a MMO, and I would personally love Snap 2, but let's perhaps say if you were going to say Snap 2 or an MMO, because of they're very common suggestions, try thinking of another in addition, or at the very least highly explain your reasons and describe it a bit. Developer choices are very encouraged.

Me? I just want my Pokemon Stadium 3/XY. The director of the series is Takao Shimizu who is one of the EAD Tokyo heads and so if necessary just give the game to them, also make sure you get Hajime Wakai on the soundtrack. His work in Stadium 2 has little equal in my eyes.

They have so much they can pack into the game and Pokemon can be be something special with high-end graphics and HD, I always thought the Stadium games had that feel of excitement and scale the handheld games, even XY haven't replicated.

Failing that, how about getting Monolith Soft on a console RPG, make it an epic AAA JRPG, I'd love to see what Takahashi and his team can bring to the franchise.

Huge open world, huge scale and with the classic turn-based gameplay and whatnot intact but something massive.

What say you guys?

Pokemon Snap 2 done by... Treasure, I think. Are they still good?

Alternately, Pokemon Warriors by Koei Tecmo. After Hyrule Warriors I kinda want to see a Warriors-style game for every franchise ever.

Alternately alternately, Pokemon 2D fighter by Lab Zero.

Coliseum2/XD2/Stadium4. Short XD like adventure with interesting trainer set-ups with Stadium-esque minigames and battle challenges.

Made by Genius Sonority with help from people that worked on Stadium 2 and 3 as well whoever else would be needed to do the gruntwork to get Genius Sonority big enough to make a Wii U game.

EDIT: Of course Snap 2 goes without saying.

Conquest was pitched as one IIRC but they said it wasn't really appropriate so they made it a Nobunaga crossover instead.

Give it to Intelligent Systems.

And make a WiiU/3DS app so it can stream your 3DS pokemon games to your WiiU (like a gameboy player over wifi).

PokeMonster Hunter by Capcom, say it's another dimension where pokemon are impossible to train, except Pikachu, so they are hunted.

A mix between Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta, the most famous and favorite pokemons for the fanservice with the stylish combat from Platinum, but without being too technical, actually yoou could forget the pokemon and give me just Hyrue Warriors fanservice + Bayonetta combat system.

Grand theft pikachu

You play as pikachu and go across kanto jacking cars and killing hookers.

Made by capcom.

Avalanche Studios (the Just Cause guys, not the Disney Infinity guys, though they'd do an all right job too). I want to ride on a Hydreigon and blow up an oil rig.

A proper console RPG, turn based style. Not sure "AAA" would be on the table, but something in the vein of PSX era JRPGs but with nice high quality Pokemon models and, ideally, pokemon seen on map sort of like Mystery Dungeon. Don't care by who, anyone with the right chops. I'd say Level 5 but they should be making Dark Cloud 3 instead.

Alternately alternately, Pokemon 2D fighter by Lab Zero.

Pokemon Diva

HD Pokemon idol game. Male or female trainer idol, customize your outfit, match your rhythm to crazy dance remixes of six generations of Pokemon music, your back-up dancers are your Pokemon. Your combination of Pokemon, their types, and the moves they have decide your routine and the group synergy. Battle against other trainer idols through dance or fall into Pokemon idol obscurity.

No, no, keep going with that train of thought. A crossover game that uses Dark Cloud's mechanics and if it sells well, maybe Level 5 could see we want a new game in that franchise. I really want Dark Cloud 3 :C
