NAMCO BANDAI SAVES ZOMBIU?!
I don't think there was ever any statement by Ubisoft on how much the game sold. Maybe word that they were disappointed but that doesn't tells us what the game sold. We don't know what unrealistic expectations Ubisoft had for the game. Especially after the game was reportedly restarted twice. It was originally suppose to be a 360/PS3 game I believe. Then changed into the Killer Rabbids from Outer Space game that was shown at E3. Then it turned into ZombiU. What we do know is that Ubisoft didn't do a damn thing to push the game at it's launch. In that year they had no problem spending tons of money pushing Assassin's Creed 3 all over the place. Mutliple trailers and TV commercial among other things. They could have easily added a few seconds to those ads about ZombiU but didn't.
Now if Ubisoft expected the game to sells millions with no advertising or push and recoup the development cost they sunk into the game after restarting it a few times they were stupid. Of course the sales would be disappointing. I've always said and will continue to believe that ZombiU's failure was 100% on Ubisoft. I think the failure of a game not selling is completely on the publisher/developers side for not making the buying public interested enough in your game to purchase it at all or over something else. Especially when you are dealing with an early adopter crowd who are more willing to try new things and are perhaps the more core game focus regardless of it being a Nintendo console.
Yves Guillemot, Chairman and CEO of Ubisoft, is typically one of the biggest proponents of new systems, but betting big on the Wii U didn't work out well for the company. ZombiU, one of the most popular launch titles for the system with players, was not profitable, he says. Not even close. As such, he says, there are no plans (or even desire) for a sequel.
It was, in fact, because of that game's performance that Ubisoft decided to make Rayman Legends a multiplatform game.
You cant believe the crap ubi says. They most likely had unrealistic expectations for a game thats on the niche side. Some people love the survival horror style game play and some didnt. Its a shame because the game has a great foundation and ideas that a sequel would really benefit from making for a better game. But it didnt print money for ubi so it got shelved.I don't think there was ever any statement by Ubisoft on how much the game sold. I know I was which is why I got ZombiU in spite of their actions. The few interviews and clips were enough for me but I doubt for many others.
I believe yves said it was not close to being profitable in relation to zombiu
But theyre just reporting an amazon listing in this case. This website has stated that COD: Advanced Warfare was coming to Wii U, so take everything from this website with a grain of salt.

Haha, no way (I mean, with Zombi U's sales...?). With the specific date and the weird publisher, it seems like it's probably just made up info an employee put into the wrong place somewhere.
Would be sick if true though. I'd buy it.

ZombiU's sales are good(and probably increased even) they just werent good enough for ubisoft, zombiU is one of the highest selling if not the highest selling 3rd party game on WiiU
Next-gen only, give it to me.
Amazon.fr listed it for Wii U.

Hm... the dubios Capcom PS4 title maybe? But the name ZombiU might cause some trouble then. Who owns the IP ?
I wish it wasn't a mistake.
I'd prefer it on the Wii U too, but if Wii U is not an option by all means, go multiplat. In systems where games like Dark Souls/Demon Soul thrive this should be a no brainer to happen.
Such a good concept it's Ubisoft's best new IP in years.
They need to change the name probably to just Zombi. But I don't really care personally. I'm buying it day one if true.
ZombiU est de retour dans ZombiU 2 ! Arriverez-vous à survivre dans New York ? Plus open world que jamais, ZombiU 2 s’annonce comme le meilleur survival-horror de l’année 2015.
I wish it wasn't a mistake.

ZombiU is back with ZombiU 2! Will you survive in New York? More open world than ever, before ZombiU 2 promises to be the best survival horror of 2015.
Is my translation correct? My french sucks.
Anyway, it's a weird description. More open world means that the first one was open world, and it wasn't.
likely not on Wii U
I do think they need them as well, but of course they can't hope to do better with them at this point than PS4 and Xbone can.I disagree. Nintendo needs games like this, just as they did with Bayonetta and ZombiU. The PS4/XBO have plenty of horror themes games- TEW, Bloodborne, DS2, Alien. They'll just keep coming.
Nintendo needs a few titles it can use to diversify their library.
If they are outsourcing the publisher to nacmo then I can see it being multiplat
